Guideline for the “Letter of Motivation” for the Application for Public

Health Projects

• Why are you applying for this specific project? Explain your
motivation. Do you have any personal relations to the target country /
culture? If you do, describe your experiences.
• What do you expect to experience during the project and which
chances and risks do you see in it?
• Describe your curriculum Studiorum? Are you a clinical or a pre-
clinical student?
• In which kind of social activities have you been involved, are you
involved?
• Describe your experiences in volunteer or professional work. Have
you ever been involved in any development aid projects or similar
activities?
• Have you worked in a team before? Are you working in a team at the
moment?
• Did you work in IFMSA / GeMSA projects – In which fields? Have you
organized something with GeMSA? What did you do?
• Explain in detail, how did you get this AF? Have you worked together/
are you going to work with someone who has already been in the
project?
• How did you get to know about the project?
• How could you support the project after your participation?
