Section A (10 Marks)

I) Imprisonment under Ipc.

2) .Act done in good faith as a defence under IPC.

Section 8 (15 Marks)

1 ) Discuss the vaiious stages of a crime. Whether mere intention to commit a crime is
punishable under IPC?

2) `A' sees `Z' commit what appears to `A' to be a murder. `A', in the exercise, to the
best of his judgment exerted in good faith, of the power which the law gives to all
persons of apprehending murderers in the fact, seizes `Z', in order to bring Z before
the proper authorities. Whether `A' will be held liable in the above case? Discuss the
exception of mistake of fact under IPC..

3) `D' not present at the place and time of an offence. But was instrumental in an
agi.Cement to commit that offence. Will he be held lia.ble for criminal conspiracy of
that offence?

committed while the ship was sailing across Europe. Discuss which country's
law will be applicable and why?
