A. TITLE : PROJECT GROW

CAREER GUIDANCE ORIENTATION FOR GRADE 10 PARENTS AND LEARNERS
B. OBJECTIVES
* To gain an understanding of Grade 10 learners own interests, abilities, aptitudes and
strengths.
* To develop an individual inventory of valuable career development foundation skills.
C. TRAINING MANAGEMENT
The activity was supervised by the Guidance Designates and Grade 10 advsers.
D. INCLUSIVE DATES
Date: December 8-9, 2021
Time: 9:00-12:00 pm, 1:00-3:00 pm
Venue: Limited Face to Face
E. PLATFORM
As part of the yearly Guidance Department action plan, Career Guidance Orientation
was still regularly conducted which aims to provide relevant information on the guidelines,
procedures and activities related to career guidance program.
B. NARRATIVE REPORT
A. INTRODUCTION/RATIONALE
When Covid-19 hits the world, we have to find ways to deliver not only education to our students but
also strategies to guide them in choosing their careers. Emigdio A. Bondoc High School is one with DepEd
in believing the importance of choosing a right track that suits learners skills and interests.. As a result,
EABHS offered modular distance learning (based on the survey) to ensure the continuity of the DepEd
Order No. 41, s. 2015 GUIDELINES ON THE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL CAREER GUIDANCE PROGRAM AND
EARLY REGISTRATION.
Together with the grade 10 advisers and the support of our dear school head Ma’am Adoracion C.
Simbulan, we worked together in the implementation of the Career Guidance Program despite the health
issues we are facing at the moment. The culture of parents’ participation in their children’s education
clearly contributed in the success of this activity.
The first part of the implementation was done thru limited face to face one section per session,
where students and their parents were required to attend the orientation. Our school head delivered the
welcome remarks and followed by the orientation proper. JHS Designates Ma’am Rosemarie P. Balajadia
briefly discussed the DepEd Order No. 41, s. 2015 GUIDELINES ON THE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL CAREER
GUIDANCE PROGRAM AND EARLY REGISTRATION and the MCDP Toolkit. SHS Guidance Designate Ma’am
Bethuel Alquiroz explained the tracks and strand in the Senior High School as well as the available strand
we have in our school. This online orientation was followed by another discussion thru google meet. This
time only students were required to attend. Thorough discussion of the MCDP Toolkit was done in this
meet. Tool 1-5 were discussed and explained carefully.
The third part of the orientation was done thru a limited face to face at the schools covered court
following health protocols. The three sections of the grade 10 were schedule in different time. The
remaining MCDP Tool from 6-13 were done in this session. Half day session for each section were
scheduled for each section. This serves as the last session for the Career Guidance Program and all forms
were also filled up by the students. The agreement on the final submission of the Career Portfolio was also
cleared in this session.

were evident in the success of this program.

B. PARTICIPANTS
All grade 10 students together with their parents and guardians.
C. FACILITATORS
Guidance Designate Ma’am Rosemarie Balajadia of JHS and Mam Bethuel Alqioroz of SHS and
all the Grade 10 advisers were actively present in the orientation.

D. CONCLUSION/RECOMMENDATIONS
Everyone has done their part in the completion of the monitoring report every month.
In the future celebration, we are hoping for a much accessible orientation especially to those
who have o access to internet.
