COVENANT FOR UNITY AND PROGRESS

This covenant is made and entered into one on
July 30, 2019 by and among:

HON. MARIANO R. MARTINEZ, Municipal Mayor

and all the Department Heads of this Municipality

and

HON. ALFONSO C. PESTOLANTE, Municipal Vice-Mayor

and all the members of the Sangguniang Bayan of this Municipality

WITNESSETH:

WHEREAS, as partners in the development of the country, local government is mandated to assume all
the tasks and responsibilities in accelerating economic development to combat extreme poverty and
ensure transparency and accountability in the delivery of public service;

WHEREAS, the attainment of a progressive Municipality requires the formulation of the Executive and
Legislative Agenda (ELA) which shall serve as a guide in charting development programs towards the
realization of the LGU’s Vision, Mission and Goals within the term of the officials;

WHEREAS, the unified Executive-Legislative Agenda of the Municipality of San Remigio captures the
Social Development, Economic Development, Infrastructure Development, Environmental Management
and Institutional Development sectors.

NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the foregoing, we hereby bind ourselves to undertake and
support the formulated Executive and Legislative Agenda and take positive actions relevant to its
implementation.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, we hereunto set our hand the date above-mentioned in the 30 th day of July
