Answer any four questions
1: A machine raises a load of 800N through a vertical distance of 1.5m with an
effort of 1500J . Calculate (I) the efficiency (ii) the mechanical advantage of the
machine , if the velocity ratio of the machine is 5.
2: A labour raises a load of mass 120kg by using a system of pulleys . He exerts a

advantage and (iii) the efficiency of the system
3: A train moves with a uniform velocity of 10m/s for 10s. Calculate the distance
travelled
4: A car travels a distance of 200m in 10s . Calculate the speed of the car
