Aim: To create the 3D geometric model,

Orthographic views and sectional view of the
given component

DESCRIPTION
Stage 01:
 Select front plane
 Draw a horizontal base line of 90mm and draw another
horizontal line of 76mm having the same mid-point
 Join the other two edges to make it a closed figure
 From features tab select extrude bass/base command
 From the left panel select the following parameters
o From - Sketch Plane
o Direction - Blind
o Depth – 60mm
 The sketch is extruded
 Select plane from reference geometry and select the left
and right side of the figure
 The plane is created
 Now on the plane draw a 50mm line at a distance of
38mm from the top of the closed figure having the
same mid-point
 Join the remaining parts to make it a closed figure
 From features tab select extrude bass/base command
 From the left panel select the following parameters
o From - Sketch Plane
o Direction – mid plane
o Depth – 24mm
Stage 02:
 Select the front side of the sketch
 Draw a circle of diameter 40mm from the mid
point of the 50mm line
 From features tab select extrude bass/base
command
 From the left panel select the following parameters
o From - Sketch Plane
o Direction – mid plane
o Depth – 44mm
 The circle is extruded
 Draw another circle of diameter 18mm with the
same center
 From features tab select extruded cut command.
 From the left panel select the following parameters
o From - Sketch Plane
o Direction – Through all- both
 The circle is extruded cut
Stage 03:
 Select the top surface of the figure
 Draw a rectangle of dimension 15mm*24mm from
the left side of the 50mm line
 From features tab select extruded cut command.
 From the left panel select the following parameters
o From - Sketch Plane
o Direction – Through all
 The circle is extruded cut
 Do the same for the other side
Stage 04:
 Select the left-side plane of the sketch
 Select plane under reference geometry
 From the left panel select the following parameters
o First reference: face <1>
o Perpendicular
o Second reference: Edge<1>
 Take that as a sketching plane
 First draw a 16mm horizontal line at a distance of
45mm from the bottommost line at a distance of
4mm from either sides
 Draw a vertical line line of 36mm on both the
sides of the horizontal line
 Close the figure by joining the ends
 From features tab select extrude bass/base
command
 From the left panel select the following
parameters
o From - Sketch Plane
o Direction – through all
 The rectangle is extruded
Stage 05:
Wire Frame Model of the Sketch
 Select the Display Style option from the
working area tool bar
 Select Wire Frame Model option
Stage 06:
THE 4 VIEWS OF THE MODEL

 Select the View Orientation option from the

working area tool bar
 Select four view option and it is displayed

Stage07:
THE SECTIONAL VIEW OF THE MODEL
 Select the section view option from the working area tool
bar
 From the left panel select the following
parameters:
o Section Method - Planar
o Section Options-offset perpendicular to – Ref
plane
o Depth – 41mm
o X Rotation – 44*
o Y Rotation - 0
