VBS PRAYER MAGNETS Sunday, June 19, please pick up a prayer magnet in the connecting hallway and use it as a reminder to pray for VBS and especially the VBS worker written on the magnet! TeamKID ENDS ANOTHER GREAT YEAR!! This years TeamKIDs learned how to jump the hurdles that may cause them problems in life. things like dealing with bullies, choosing media wisely, controlling the tongue, dealing with peer pressure and many more hurdles! THANK YOU, TEACHERS, for your faithfulness in teaching Gods Word and helping us develop skills to succeed! SUMMER PICNIC SERIES for kids Sunday, June 26 5 p.m. FUN & GAMES Night Grades 1-6, boys and girls RA Leaders have a fun night planned on the tennis court with a devotion and some of their favorite games! Let the games begin!! ZACCHAEUS 2yr 5yr olds Bible Story activities & fun! VBS OUTREACH Take a few orange VBS flyers and invite your neighbors and friends to attend our VBS next week! Flyers can be picked up from the Welcome Centers or connecting hallway! VBS BIBLE STORY OVERVIEW Pray daily as VBS teachers present the gospel each day this week! MONDAY Kids will MEET UP with Jesus by hearing about His birth and actions in the Temple as a 12yr. old. TUESDAY Kids will LOOK UP to Jesus as they hear how an official trusted Jesus to help him. WEDNESDAY Kids will understand what it means to JOIN UP with Jesus as they hear about His death and Resurrection. THURSDAY Kids will OPEN UP to Jesus forgiveness as they hear the story of the Prodigal Son. FRIDAY Kids will FIRE UP for Jesus as they listen to the story of Jesus last encounter with His disciples.

Includes all day Friday at Shipwreck Island water park. Pray for Sr. High Mission Trip June 25 - July 1 as they partner with Renovation Ministries to work in the Anniston area.

Underwear Drive The Womens Ministry is sponsoring an underwear drive to benefit the tornado victims of Alabama. Please bring your new packages of underwear (any size, any gender) and leave them in the ministry baskets around the church.

Alabama Baptist Disaster Relief - Update Over 11,016 volunteers are working in disaster relief efforts, not counting volunteers from local churches working directly with affected churches. Seven Southern Baptist churches were totally destroyed and 39 received moderate to severe damage. Please continue to pray for all affected by the storms and for volunteers as they minister in affected areas across our state. There have been 53 professions of faith as of May 22. Disaster Relief Mission Trip July 10-16, 2011, we will work through the Alabama Baptist Convention to work with tornado relief. Details should be finalized by mid-June. Call 4206314 or email Billy Dickey at bdickey@eastmont.org with contact information, As soon as a project is selected, information will be provided to those interested in helping. Recycling for Missions We are collecting empty inkjet cartridges (no laser or toner cartridges) and used cell phones (no accessories). Place these items in the ministry baskets located around the church. All proceeds go toward Eastmont Mission Trips. Thank you for recycling for missions.

Save Your Old Phone Books The Community of Hope is having a fundraiser and needs your old phone books to recycle. Put the books in the "Missions Baskets" around the church. Forest Park Ministry Center During the month of June, we are collecting nonperishable food items for the Forest Park Ministry Center. Especially needed are canned meats and peanut butter. Also needed are diapers (sizes 4 & 5) and bathroom tissue. Wanted: Crocheting yarn (full or part skeins) for Operation Christmas Child. If you have some you would like to donate, please bring them to the church office. New Eastmont shirts will be on sale Sunday by the old kitchen. Prices for shirts are as follows: Mock Ts - $20 Golf Shirts - $17 T-Shirts - $8 2-day SCRAPBOOKING July 22-23 in the Fellowship Hall Friday, 2-10 p.m. Bring your own fast food! Saturday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Potluck! Bring a dish to share! Call Rhonda Seay (2771435) if you need supplies! Coosa River Adventure Cost: $20/person We will kayak/canoe the Coosa River on Saturday, July 9. We will use Coosa Outdoor Adventure as our river outfitters. Sign up in Sunday school, see Art Long or call the church office. Departure time will be announced soon.
