The Defense Did an Ok Job!
They could’ve done better
though…
The Seahawks defense knew they would
be facing a lethal NFC West opponent in
the Arizona Cardinals last week despite
their backup Colt McCoy starting the
game. However, since it was Colt McCoy
starting last week and with veteran receiver
DeAndre Hopkins out people were sure the
pass defense would do well. Spoiler that
wasn’t the case.
The pass defense made Colt McCoy look
like a 5 time all pro as he went 35/44 for
328 yards and 2 touchdowns for a 112.9
passer rating. That is terrible for a defense
that kept Aaron Rodgers and the Packers to
just 3 points until about halfway into the
4th quarter.
On the contrary of the pass defense the run
defense had a good game. The Cardinals
ran the ball 33 times for only 95 yards and
1 touchdown. They caused problems for
the Cardinals running game all day long
which caused the Cardinals to pass more.
The defensive line didn’t do terrible, but
they weren’t good either as they missed
many opportunities for sacks then sacks,
they actually got which they got only 2.
