PREFACE

This training report pertains to the making of a summer training of MBA curriculum. The
purpose of this training report is to have thorough knowledge of the topic. I learned a lot from
the hard work I put in to collect information regarding the same, which would be of great use in
my near future as a professional.

Justification cannot be done to whatever I have learnt within a few pages but I have still tried my
best to cover as much as possible about “PRODUCT AND SERVICES OF VEDIOCON” in
this training report.Being student of Master of Business Administration, I need to be aware of the
organization internal environment. Summer training helps me to understand these concepts
related to the organization.

A Financial analysis (also referred to as financial statement analysis or Analysis of finance)


refers to an assessment of the viability, stability and profitability of a business, sub-business
or project. Financial statement analysis (or financial analysis) is the process of reviewing and
analyzing a company's financial statements to make better economic decisions. These statements
include the income statement, balance sheet, statement of cash flows, and astatement of retained
earnings. Financial statement analysis is a method or process involving specific techniques for
evaluating risks, performance, financial health, and future prospects of an organization.

It is used by a variety of stakeholders, such as credit and equity investors, the government, the
public, and decision-makers within the organization. These stakeholders have different interests
and apply a variety of different techniques to meet their needs. For example, equity investors are
interested in the long-term earnings power of the organization and perhaps the sustainability and
growth of dividend

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
My primary involvement was carried out attaining the knowledge of various terminologies which
are used in financing department as retainership expenses, debit note, service tax tds, ratios and
cash flows etc. on which final report was to be prepared. The final touch given to the conclusion
is on the basis of analysis of financial statements of company.

OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY

1. To measure the solvency of the company.


2. To know the efficiency of management of ECE Industries Ltd.

FINDINGS
1. The current ratio has shown in a fluctuating trend as 4.7, 6.2, and 6.8and during 2012-14
of which indicates a continuous decrease in both current assets and current liabilities.
2. The quick ratio is also in a fluctuating trend throughout the period 2012 – 14 resulting as
3.3, 4.3, and 4.7. The company’s present liquidity position is satisfactory.
3. The proprietary ratio has shown a fluctuating trend. The proprietary ratio is decreased
compared with the last year. So, the long term solvency of the firm is decreased.
4. The working capital increased from 0.72 to 1.42 in the year 2012 – 14.
5. The fixed assets turnover ratio is in increasing trend from the year 2012 – 14 (1.26, 1.82,
and 4.24. It indicates that the company is efficiently utilizing the fixed assets.
6. The net profit ratio is in fluctuation manner. It decreased in the current year compared
with the previous year from 0.30 to 0.23.

CONCLUSION

ECE INDUSTRY LTD. is a focusing player in the transformer, elevators and switch gears
product and provide a tough competition to its competitors. Company performance is very good
in the area of elevators but decrease in the area of transformer day by day. Because there is less
safety measures and not proper planning for increased sales and revenue. So company needs to
improve performance in terms of sales in future so that company survival not move towards
extinguish. Company needs to reduce indirect expensed so that they increase their reserves and
surplus. It is helpful for company to reduce outflow of funds so that return on investment.
