STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

I am a person who has always had a profound passion and fascination for areas
requiring a technical approach. Right from early days at school, computer has intrigued
me. The most challenging of all problems were my favorites and obtaining solutions to
them would leave me with a sheer feeling of ecstasy. I always did and always would
thrive on solving the most challenging problems. With a compelling desire to excel, hard
work became my second nature. My own systematic & methodical approach towards
finding a solution to any problem best suits this field.

During the first year of undergraduate study I studied courses like, Introduction of
Computer Programing, Digital logic design, Object oriented programming, Web
technologies, and Introduction to information and communication technologies. These
courses helped me gain a strong background in the fundamentals of Computer Science.
These were aptly complemented by the laboratory courses. The challenging
assignments that were a part of the laboratory courses helped me to develop the
required technical and programming skills. During the last year of my study, I also took
advanced courses like Cloud computing, Software Project Management, Distributed
Database Systems, Simulation and modeling; data structure and algorithms, discrete
mathematics, operating system.

My strong curiosity towards the field of computer science dates back to my pre-
university days. Although I’ve gained exposure in the field of computer science during
the course of my Bachelor’s degree, I believe pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Cyber
security will allow me to explore the field of security in greater depth and utilize it
effectively to address more real-world challenges. My exposure to the technicalities of
Computer Science began during the first semester of my Bachelor’s degree. This
experience has also further confirmed my strong suspicion that continuing my study of
Computer Science.

I have obtained information about the facilities and courses after a detailed study of UK
Universities websites and have decided to apply in UK University. I believe that Master
in Computer science Filed seems to be tailored for my future career needs. I have learnt
that several professors are engaged in research in areas that interest me. I would
consider it a privilege to be taught by such renowned faculty. Your university offers an
invigorating environment which will give a platform to explore my interests and a
definite direction to my goals.

Although Pakistan has many well-known institutions offering degrees related to

computer science and IT fields, UK’s universities as many of them offering numerous
outstanding study programs in this area and also providing the hands-on practical
experience. I want to improve my career prospects by getting highest quality of
education in the field of Cyber Security and to come back Pakistan and use the
knowledge and expertise that I have acquired to impact positively on my country
because pakistan have required lot of work in computer and cyber security fields.

I want to study Computer Science because I want to gain the knowledge needed to be
able to help find solutions to world problems, with the efficient use of computer
technology. With the knowledge and skills, I will attain from this course, the creative
ideas that I could bring into fruition would be endless. I hope to become one of the
computer scientists who adapt technology to help the human race evolve. One
possibility would be for artificially intelligent gadgets to recognise different people and
adjust to their individual needs based on personal preferences. I have been teaching
myself javascript and reactJS syntax in my spare time and have completed online
programming courses, which have allowed me to explore the endless possibilities that
computer science can bring to the world.

enable me to acquire the skills required to understand the world of Computer Science
and help me to become an expert. I will work with an organization to design and
implement, or improve upon, a network system that protects the organization against
attacks and fulfill the organization’s needs.

To finish, I want to take the opportunity to set out the things that for me are most
important about my love of cyber security: Firstly, my passionate interest in the
computer world and the vital role that computer science play in it; and lastly, I strongly
believe that the skills which I will gain from University will help me fulfil my ambition for
a career in Computer Science field.
