The most common cancers in Sudan are breast cancer, cervical cancer, colorectal cancer, leukemia, liver cancer, non-Hodgkin lymphoma, esophageal cancer, ovarian cancer, and prostate cancer. Tobacco use accounts for 4.9% of cancer deaths, while infections account for 15.6% of cancer cases. Cancer rates are projected to increase substantially, with breast and lung cancer cases expected to rise from 3,439 observed cases in 2018 to over 11,000 estimated cases by 2040. The probability of premature death from cancer is also expected to continue increasing over the next two decades
