I. Objectives:

Interpret data presented in single horizontal bar graphs. M4SP-IVg-3.4

Contextualized Objectives:

Use data within the community (Brgy. STO. NINO) in presenting a single horizontal bar
graph.

II. Subject Matter:

Interpreting data presented in single horizontal bar graphs.

Who has the least number of balls? The greatest?
What is the total number of balls that Elsa and Anna have?
A3. Motivation:

The teacher shows a horizontal bar graph with an input data about the number of dried fish
“bulad” that is sold daily. “Bulad” is known as one of the most common dish and product in Brgy.

We can buy some of it in the near sari-sari stores and also, we have a dried fish store that is located
in Bislig owned by Aling Lolit.

Now, as you can see we have here an illustration. Anyone can give me the name of the
illustration?
So, what can you say about this illustration? What is it called?
The illustration infront is a bar graph, a horizontal bar graph. So what do you think this bar graph
tells us?

Will you please point out where are those parts located.
Looking at this horizontal bar graph, what do you think is it all about?
So this bar graph tells us the number of work hours spent in a week.

B2. Developmental Activities

Give activity sheets involving horizontal bar graphs to each pupil for interpretation. Ask the pupil
to work in reading and interpreting the data.

Grade 4 Enrollment
Aling Rosa’s Monday Canteen Orders

After they have finished, each four pupils will display its output on the board.
How did you find the activity? Do you have the same interpretation?

B3. Enrichment Activities

The teacher will explain how to interpret data using the horizontal bar graph presented.
B4. Generalization
So again, What is a horizontal bar graph? What are the parts of a bar graph? Why is it called a
horizontal bar graph?

B5. Application
Using the horizontal bar graph below. Interpret the data by answering the questions that follow.
