Fallback Mode

A Forecourt Controller operation mode that is an alternative to setting the in-

dividual dispensers in manual mode when the POS is not operational.
In this mode the forecourt controller will automatically start fuelling transac-
tions and collect them afterwards. The transactions done in the Fallback mode
can be collected by the POS when it becomes available again.
Note: Only an operational POS is able to switch the forecourt controller from
Fallback Mode to a normal operational state again.

Fuelling Mode

Each mode specifies authorization, monetary and volume limitations. These

limitations are applied to the individual grades available on a site. Typically,
these are volume, money or time restrictions that ensure that the fuelling pro-
cess is as smooth as possible.
Note: Fuelling modes are used to define fuelling point operational modes.

Fuelling Point

A physical point where fuel can be dispensed to only one vehicle per fuelling.
A fuelling point may have multiple hoses, but only one can be used at a time.
A fuelling point can dispense one or more Grades, but only one at a time.

reached.
