INTRODUCTION
• LIMITATIONS
The descriptions of the assembly phases refer to a "general" Virtual Terminal, so specific models will not be mentioned, unless a certain installation
procedure concerns exclusively one VT type.
• RESPONSIBILITY
The installer must carry out "workmanlike" installations and ensure to the end user the perfect operation of the whole system both with ARAG
components only and other brands' components.
ARAG always recommends using its components to install control systems.
The installer will be held responsible for any malfunction if he decides to use other brands' components even without actually changing the system
parts or harness.
The compatibility check with components and accessories of other manufacturers shall be carried out by the installer.
If the ARAG components installed together with other brands' components get damaged because of what stated above, no direct or indirect warranty
will be provided.
2 INTENDED USE
The device you have purchased is a computer that allows controlling and managing the auxiliary services on agricultural machinery.
Connected to 853-series electric valves, provided with CAN-BUS connection, it can control all operations of the auxiliary services.
This device is designed to work on agricultural machinery for spraying and crop spraying applications.
The machine is designed and built in compliance with EN ISO 14982 standard (Electromagnetic compatibility - Forestry and
farming machines), harmonized with 2014/30/UE Directive.
3 PRECAUTIONS
• Do not aim water jets at the equipment.
• Do not use solvents or fuel to clean the case outer surface.
• Do not clean equipment with direct water jets.
• Comply with the specified power voltage (12 VDC).
• In case of voltaic arc welding, remove connectors from SYNCRO and disconnect the power cables.
• Only use ARAG genuine spare parts and accessories.
The computer does not feature emergency stop devices: the manufacturer must provide all necessary safety devices.

INSTALLATION
• The SYNCRO computer can be positioned outside the agricultural machinery. Observe the following precautions:
- Do NOT install the monitor in areas where it would be subjected to excessive vibrations or shocks, to prevent any damage.
- Install the device in a well visible and handy position.
Consider all necessary connections of the computer (Fig. 4), the cable length, and make sure there is enough space for
connectors and cables.
For any reference to the system configuration read par. 5.1.

6 WIRING CONNECTIONS
• Use ARAG harness only.
• Take care not to break, pull, tear or cut the cables.
• Use of unsuitable cables not provided by ARAG automatically voids the warranty.
• ARAG is not liable for damages to the equipment, persons or animals caused by failure to observe the above instructions.
6.1 General precautions for a correct harness position
• Securing the cables:
- Fasten the harnesses so that they do not interfere with moving parts;
- Route the harnesses so that they cannot be damaged or broken by machine movements or twisting.
• Fitting the cables to the connection points:
- Do not force the connectors by pushing too hard or bending them: the contacts may be damaged and computer operation may be compromised.
Use ONLY the cables and accessories indicated in the catalog, having technical features suitable for the use to be made of
them.
1 Position and fix the cables considering all possible movements of the agricultural machinery and the relevant connected tools.
2 Carefully check that no connections or branches are positioned near moving parts and high enough to clear possible obstacles on the ground.
3 If space is limited and you need to bend a cable, be sure not to bend it too tight or it may get damaged.

The tank profile calibration can be carried out in manual or automatic mode.
During calibration, SYNCRO will save up to 200 calibration points to create the tank profile curve.
MANUAL CALIBRATION
Before carrying out the manual calibration, calculate the suitable calibration interval with respect to tank maximum capacity, bearing in mind that:
- It is possible to save up to 200 calibration points.
- The more calibration points are sampled, the more precise the measurement.
Example:
Tank maximum capacity: 3000 l
Set calibration points (Calib. points): 200
3000 l
= 15 l*
200 points
Quantity of fluid to be sprayed for each point (Step qty): 15 l*.
*IMPORTANT: Set a measurement value that is slightly higher (e.g., 16 liters) than the formula, in order to make up for any errors
in the evaluation of tank maximum capacity.

Step qty: 10.0l Step qty: This value indicates the quantity of sprayed fluid for each measured point.
If SYNCRO displays the error message concerning the level sensor, consult par 11.1.

message: Stabilization.

AUTOMATIC CALIBRATION
This function is enabled ONLY if the system is equipped with a flowmeter.
THE FLOWMETER USED FOR THIS OPERATION MUST BE CONNECTED TO THE SENSOR CONNECTION CABLE, AT THE

If position (DIN01) is occupied by another sensor, temporarily replace it with a flowmeter for the entire duration of the calibration, only.
Once the calibration procedure is completed, disconnect the flowmeter and reconnect the previously disconnected sensor.
Make sure that the value measured by the flowmeter is consistent: the sprayed fluid quantity must correspond to the quantity of
fluid measured by the flowmeter.
If that is not the case, perform the following calculation to set the Flowmeter constant:

If the sprayed fluid is lighter than water, the device may indicate wrong measurements; to correct this measurement, edit the sprayed liquid weight, referred to 1 liter of
product.
• Flow correction
When using a paddle flowmeter and the sprayed fluid has a different density than the water one, the computer could display wrong measurements; to correct them
change the sprayed fluid factor:
• if at the end of the spraying the tank still contains fluid, reduce the factor;
• if the fluid finishes before the job has ended, increase the factor.
Flowmeters of the ORION series (code 462xxx) are not affected by the density difference of the fluids: set the value to 1.00.

13 END-OF-LIFE DISPOSAL
This device contains a lithium polymer battery that, at end of life, must be disposed of according to the prevailing rules.
Should it be necessary to replace the battery, do not disassemble the device but contact ARAG directly.
The device must be used and stored at the temperature indicated in chapter "Technical data" of this manual.
Excessive temperature oscillations may cause acid leakage, overheating, explosion or self-combustion of the battery and
consequent injuries and/or damages to persons.
Do not open, remove, drill or throw the device in the fire.
In case of battery leakage and accidental contact with the leaked out fluids, thoroughly rinse the concerned area and seek
immediately medical advice.
