  At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to : 

OBJECTIVE  :  1. identify at least 1 alphabet correctly.
  2. colour at least 5 words correctly.
  Pre-lesson: Pupils play ‘Find Something’. Teacher says a
colour and pupils find something in the class in that colour.
: 
  Lesson delivery:
1. Pupils sit in groups of 6. A set of cards are put in the
middle of the groups. Teacher says a letter and the pupils
must look for the letter and the fastest pupil get to keep the
letter card.
ACTIVITIES 
2. Teacher says out a colour and pupils find other pupils to
  spell the words using the letter cards they have.
3. Teacher repeats the activity with other colours.
4. Pupils are given the ‘Colour Task Sheet’. Pupils complete
part A.
5. Teacher checks pupils work.

Post-lesson: Pupils complete part B in the ‘Colour Task

Sheet’.
