This Test Report covers test results for IEC 62368-1: 2014 (Second Edition), and additional results for IEC
60065: 2014 (Eighth Edition) and/or IEC 60950-1: 2005 (Second Edition) + Am 1: 2009 + Am 2: 2013.
Where a requirement in IEC 62368-1 addresses the same requirement/principle in IEC 60065 and/or IEC
60950-1, compliance with the IEC 62368-1 requirements covers compliance with the same requirement/principle
in IEC 60065 and/or IEC 6095-1, as indicated.
The complete background/rationale behind the considerations in this TRF is outlined in 108/575/INF, IEC TC
108 position related to TRFs associated with the transition of IEC 60065 and IEC 60950-1 to IEC 62368-1. Use
of this TRF is intended to allow for a smooth transition from the legacy standards, IEC 60065 and IEC 60950-1,
to the state-of-art requirements for safety of audio/video, information and communication technology equipment,
IEC 62368-1.
Model FETA7000T series are intended to be used in end-product which connected to three phase star system
and delta system.
Model FETA7000ST series are intended to be used in end-product which connected to three phase, four wire,
(3/N/PE) system.
This Switching Power Supply unit has three units of CB certified component Power Supply Units (PS1, PS2 and
PS3).
Output ratings:
Model FETA7000T-48 and FETA7000ST-48: 48Vdc (21.6-52.8Vdc), 148.2A, maximum 7113W
Model FETA7000T-144 and FETA7000ST-144: 144Vdc (64.8-158.4Vdc), 52.0A, maximum 7488W
- FETA7000T-48 and FETA7000T-144: Three-phase, three wire, delta system and star system power supply
connection
- FETA7000ST-48 and FETA7000ST-144: Three-phase, four wire, (3/N/PE) system power supply connection
Based on attached the IEC 60950-1 informative report (see attached Enclosure 1) and the review of product
construction, only following tests were deemed necessary.
- 5.2: Classification of electrical energy sources
- 5.5.2.2: Capacitor discharge test
- 5.7: Prospective Touch Voltage and Touch Current Measurement
In this Test Report, CENELEC mark license indicating compliance to EN standard was used to verify component
compliance to IEC standard because the standards are technically equivalent.
The Clearances and Creepage Distances have additionally been assessed for suitability up to 3000 m elevation.
Technical Considerations
- The product was submitted and evaluated for use at the maximum ambient temperature (Tma) permitted by
the manufacturer’s specification of: 60°C. (See Enclosure Id. 4-01 and 4-02 for details of output derating
upon the factors including ambient temperature.)
- Models FETA7000T-48 and FETA7000ST-48 were tested with output voltage range of 21.6 – 52.8Vdc
(maximum 7113W), Models FETA7000T-144 and FETA7000ST-144 were tested with output voltage range
of 64.8 – 158.4Vdc (maximum 7488W), Adjustment was made via component VR31.
- The end-product Electric Strength Test shall take into account the maximum working voltage of: Primary-
Ground: 428 Vrms, 976Vpk, Primary-Secondary: 349 Vrms, 1050 Vpk
- The following secondary output circuits are ES1: 48Vdc output of Models FETA7000T-48 and
FETA7000ST-48, and interface circuit (CN1, CN2) of all models.
- The following secondary output circuits are PS3: Outputs of all models except for AUX output
- The following secondary output circuits are limited power source: AUX output
- The power supply terminals and/or connectors are: Suitable for factory wiring only
- Proper bonding to the end-product main protective earthing termination is: Required (Chassis or cover)
- The following input connectors must be connected to the end-product supply neutral: TB2 Pin 2 (N) (Indicate
near the TB2 for models FETA7000ST-48 and FETA7000ST-144).
- This component has been evaluated in ‘control of fire spread’ method assuming appropriate fire enclosure is
provided in end product. Unless the fire enclosure is made of non-combustible or V-0 material, the
separation from the PIS (all electrical components) shall be considered.
- Mains Supply Source is assumed to both Delta system and Star system during the tests for model
FETA7000T-48 and FETA7000T-144.
- Mains Supply Source is assumed to Star system during the tests for model FETA7000ST-48 and
FETA7000ST-144.

Product Description
Model FETA7000T series are intended to be used in end-product which connected to three phase star
system and delta system.
Model FETA7000ST series are intended to be used in end-product which connected to three phase, four
wire, (3/N/PE) system.
This Switching Power Supply unit has three units of CB certified component Power Supply Units (PS1,
PS2 and PS3).
Output ratings:
Model FETA7000T-48 and FETA7000ST-48: 48Vdc (21.6-52.8Vdc), 148.2A, maximum 7113W
Model FETA7000T-144 and FETA7000ST-144: 144Vdc (64.8-158.4Vdc), 52.0A, maximum 7488W
Adjustment of output voltage range was made via component VR31.
AUX output (CN1, CN2 pin1, 2): 12 Vdc, 0.15 A
Condition of output derating: Depends on model, input voltage and ambient temperature. See Enclosure
Id. 4-01 and 4-02 for details.
Model Differences
All models are identical to each other except for output terminal connection of switching power supplies
(PS1, PS2, PS3), output rating and the following AC power distribution systems.
- FETA7000T-48 and FETA7000T-144: Three-phase, three wire, delta system and star system power
supply connection.
- FETA7000ST-48 and FETA7000ST-144: Three-phase, four wire, (3/N/PE) system power supply
connection.
Technical Considerations
- The product was submitted and evaluated for use at the maximum ambient temperature (Tma) permitted
by the manufacturer’s specification of: 60 °C (See Enclosure Id. 4-01 and 4-02 for details of output
derating upon the factors including ambient temperature.)
- The product was investigated to the following additional standards: EN 60950-1:2006 + A11:2009 +
A1:2010 + A12:2011 + A2:2013 (which includes all European national differences, including those
specified in this test report).
- The power supply in this equipment was: Investigated to IEC 60950-1. As part of the investigation of
this product, the power supply and its test report were reviewed and found to comply with IEC 60950-
1.
- Models FETA7000T-48 and FETA7000ST-48 were tested with output voltage range of 21.6 – 52.8Vdc
(maximum 7113W), Models FETA7000T-144 and FETA7000ST-144 were tested with output voltage
range of 64.8 – 158.4Vdc (maximum 7488W), Adjustment was made via component VR31.
- The end-product Electric Strength Test is to be based upon a maximum working voltage of: Primary-
Ground: 428 Vrms, 976Vpk, Primary-Secondary: 349 Vrms, 1050 Vpk
- The following secondary output circuit are SELV: 48Vdc output of Models FETA7000T-48 and
FETA7000ST-48, and interface circuit (CN1, CN2) of all models.
- The following secondary output circuits are at hazardous energy levels: Outputs of all models (except

Additional Information
This report is a reissue of CB report No. 4787682858, CB test certificate No. US-29277-UL.
Base on the previously conducted testing and the review of product technical documentation including
photos, Schematics, wiring diagrams and similar, has been determined that the product continues to
comply with the standard with the following modifications.
Working voltage at inside certified component power supply units and clearance and creepage distances
were additionally assessed in this report due to deviation of mains supply systems.
In this Test Report, CENELEC mark license indicating compliance to EN standard was used to verify
component compliance to IEC standard because the standards are technically equivalent.
For table 1.5.1, UL Standard has requirements that meet or exceed the relevant IEC requirements.
