4
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the
Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.
All: Amen.

Liturgy of the Word

First Reading

A reading from the book of Acts 5:27-32,40-41

The high priest demanded an explanation of the Apostles.

‘We gave you a formal warning’ he said ‘not to preach in
this name, and what have you done? You have filled
Jerusalem with your teaching, and seem determined to fix
the guilt of this man’s death on us.’ In reply Peter and the
apostles said, ‘Obedience to God comes before obedience to
men; it was the God of our ancestors who raised up Jesus,
but it was you who had him executed by hanging on a tree.
By his own right hand God has now raised him up to be
leader and saviour, to give repentance and forgiveness of
sins through him to Israel. We are witnesses to all this, we
and the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey
him.’ They warned the apostles not to speak in the name of
Jesus and released them. And so they left the presence of
the Sanhedrin glad to have had the honour of suffering
humiliation for the sake of the name.

The word of the Lord.

All: Thanks be to God

5
Responsorial Psalm 29(30):2,4-6,11-13
# I will praise you, Lord, you have rescued me.

1. I will praise you, Lord, you have rescued me

and have not let my enemies rejoice over me.
O Lord, you have raised my soul from the dead,
restored me to life from those who sink into the
grave. #

2. Sing psalms to the Lord, you who love him,

give thanks to his holy name.
His anger lasts a moment; his favour all through
life.
At night there are tears, but joy comes with dawn. #

3. The Lord listened and had pity.

The Lord came to my help.
For me you have changed my mourning into
dancing:
O Lord my God, I will thank you for ever. #

Gospel
Inilah Injil Suci menurut Yohanes: John 21:1-19

Sesudah bangkit dari antara orang mati, Yesus

menampakkan diri kepada murid-murid-Nya di pantai
danau Tiberias.
darat, penuh ikan-ikan besar: seratus lima puluh tiga ekor
banyaknya; dan sungguhpun sebanyak itu ikannya, jala itu
tidak koyak.
Kata Yesus kepada mereka, "Marilah dan sarapanlah!"
Tidak ada di antara murid-murid itu yang berani bertanya
kepada-Nya, "Siapakah Engkau?" Sebab mereka tahu
bahwa Ia adalah Tuhan. Yesus maju ke depan, mengambil
roti dan memberikannya kepada mereka, demikian juga
ikan itu. Itulah ketiga kalinya Yesus menampakkan diri
kepada murid-murid-Nya sesudah Ia bangkit dari antara
orang mati. Sesudah mereka sarapan, Yesus berkata
kepada Simon Petrus, "Simon, anak Yohanes, apakah
engkau mengasihi Aku lebih daripada mereka ini?" Jawab
Petrus kepada-Nya, "Benar Tuhan, Engkau tahu bahwa aku
mengasihi Engkau." Kata Yesus kepadanya,
"Gembalakanlah domba-domba-Ku!" Kata Yesus pula
kepadanya untuk kedua kalinya,
"Simon, anak Yohanes, apakah engkau mengasihi Aku?"
Jawab Petrus kepada-Nya, "Benar, Tuhan, Engkau tahu
bahwa aku mengasihi Engkau."
9
Kata Yesus kepadanya, "Gembalakanlah domba-domba-
Ku!" Kata Yesus kepadanya untuk ketiga kalinya, "Simon,
anak Yohanes, apakah engkau mengasihi Aku?"

Maka sedihlah hati Petrus, karena Yesus berkata untuk

ketiga kalinya 'Apakah engkau mengasihi Aku'.
Maka ia berkata kepada-Nya, "Tuhan, Engkau tahu segala
sesuatu! Engkau tahu bahwa aku mengasihi Engkau."Kata
Yesus kepadanya, "Gembalakanlah domba-domba-
Ku!"Aku berkata kepadamu: Sesungguhnya, ketika masih
muda, engkau sendiri mengikat pinggangmu dan engkau
berjalan ke mana saja kaukehendaki. Tetapi jika engkau

Sesudah
mengatakan demikian Ia berkata kepada Petrus: "Ikutlah
Aku!"

Demikianlah sabda Tuhan.

All: Syukur kepada Allah.

Preface of Easter, pp.558-567

Preface Dialogues
17
Cel : The Lord be with you.

All : And with your spirit.

Cel : Lift up your hearts.

All : We lift them up to the Lord.

Cel : Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.

All : It is right and just.

Cel: It is truly right and just, our duty and our

salvation,
at all times to acclaim you, O Lord,
but in this time above all to laud you yet more
gloriously, when Christ our Passover has been
sacrificed.
Through him the children of light rise to eternal life
and the halls of the heavenly Kingdom
are thrown open to the faithful;
for his Death is our ransom from death,
and in his rising the life of all has risen.
Therefore, overcome with paschal joy,
every land, every people exults in your praise
and even the heavenly Powers, with the angelic
hosts, sing together the unending hymn of your
glory, as they acclaim:

All: Holy, Holy, Holy Lord God of hosts.

18
Heaven and earth are full of your glory.
Hosanna in the highest.
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
Hosanna in the highest.

Eucharistic Prayer III

Cel: You are indeed Holy, O Lord,

and all you have created.
rightly gives you praise for through your Son our
Lord Jesus Christ, by the power and working of
the Holy Spirit, you give life to all things and
make them holy, and you never cease to gather a
people to yourself, so that from the rising of the
sun to its setting a pure sacrifice may be offered
to your name.

Therefore, O Lord, we humbly implore you: by

the same Spirit graciously make holy these gifts
we have brought to you for consecration, that
they may become the Body and + Blood of your
Son our Lord Jesus Christ, at whose command
we celebrate these mysteries.

For on the night he was betrayed he himself took

bread, and, giving you thanks, he said the
blessing, broke the bread and gave it to his
disciples, saying:

19
TAKE THIS, ALL OF YOU, AND EAT OF IT,
FOR THIS IS MY BODY,
WHICH WILL BE GIVEN UP FOR YOU.
Cel: In a similar way, when supper was ended, he
took the chalice, and, giving you thanks, he said
the blessing, and gave the chalice to his disciples,
saying:

TAKE THIS, ALL OF YOU,

AND DRINK FROM IT,
FOR THIS IS THE CHALICE OF MY BLOOD,
THE BLOOD OF THE NEW AND
ETERNAL COVENANT,
WHICH WILL BE POURED OUT FOR YOU
AND FOR MANY
FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS.
DO THIS IN MEMORY OF ME.

Cel: The mystery of faith.

All: Save us, Saviour of the world, for by your Cross and
Resurrection you have set us free.

Cel: Therefore, as we celebrate

the memorial of his Death and Resurrection, we
offer you, Lord,
the Bread of life and the Chalice of salvation,
giving thanks that
you have held us worthy to be in your presence
and minister to you.
20
Humbly we pray that, partaking of the Body and
Blood of Christ, we may be gathered into one by
the Holy Spirit.
Concelebrant:

Remember, Lord, your Church,

spread throughout the world,
and bring her to the fullness of charity,
together with Francis our Pope and Julian our
Bishop and all the clergy.
Remember also, Lord, your servants
whom you have been pleased to confirm today
by bestowing the Holy Spirit,
and keep them in your grace.
Remember also our brothers and sisters
who have fallen asleep
in the hope of the resurrection,
and all who have died in your mercy:
welcome them into the light of your face.

Have mercy on us all, we pray,

that with the Blessed Virgin Mary,
Mother of God, with Blessed Joseph, her spouse,
with the blessed Apostles,
and all the Saints who have pleased you
throughout the ages,
we may merit to be coheirs to eternal life,
and may praise and glorify you
He joins his hands

21
through your Son, Jesus Christ.
-The celebrant takes the chalice and the paten with the host and says:

Cel: Through him, and with him, and in him,

O God, almighty Father,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
all glory and honour is yours,
for ever and ever.

All: Amen

The Communion Rite

Cel: At the Saviour’s command

and formed by divine teaching,
we dare to say:
All: Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

Cel: Deliver us, Lord, we pray,

from every evil,
graciously grant peace in our days,
that, by the help of your mercy,
22
we may be always free from sin
and safe from all distress,
as we await the blessed hope
and the coming of our Saviour, Jesus Christ.

All: For the kingdom,

the power and the glory are yours
now and for ever.

Cel: Lord Jesus Christ,

who said to your Apostles:
Peace I leave you,
my peace I give you;
look not on our sins,
but on the faith of your Church,
and graciously grant her
peace and unity
in accordance with your will.
Who live and reign for ever and ever.

All: Amen.

Cel: The peace of the Lord be with you always.

All: And with your spirit.

Cel: Let us offer each other the sign of peace.

23
Breaking of the Bread

the celebrant takes the host, breaks a small piece and places it in the chalice

Cel: May this mingling of the Body and

(quietly) Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ bring eternal life
to us who receive it.

All: Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world,
have mercy on us.
Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world,
have mercy on us.
Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world,
grant us peace.

then the celebrant says

Cel: May the receiving of your Body

(quietly) and Blood, Lord Jesus Christ, not bring me to
judgment and condemnation, but through your
loving mercy be for me protection in mind and
body and a healing remedy.

The Celebrant genuflects

Communion

Cel: Behold the Lamb of God,

behold him who takes away
the sins of the world.
Blessed are those called
to the supper of the Lamb.

All: Lord, I am not worthy

24
that you should enter under my roof,
but only say the word
and my soul shall be healed.

While consuming the Body of Christ.

Cel: May the Body of Christ keep me
(quietly) safe for eternal life.

While consuming the Blood of Christ.

Cel: May the Blood of Christ keep me
(quietly) safe for eternal life.

Prayer after Communion

Cel: Let us pray...

Look with kindness upon your people, O Lord,
and grant, we pray, that those you were pleased
to renew by eternal mysteries may attain in their
flesh the incorruptible glory of the resurrection.
Through Christ our Lord.
All: Amen.
