The past few weeks have shown the capacity of our people to rise to whatever challenges come their way. The heavy rains earlier this month Put significant pressure on teams ‘around the state as they worked to manage the business response to flooding, protect our power Stations and dam infrastructure, while ensuring the safety of everyone involved. Wiile | cannot claim to have heard about all the great efforts, | will comment on 2 few. Special mention to the team at Tarraleah who worked overtime {2 protect the station from rising waters and the dam safety team who were out and about in very challenging conditions, The team at Gordon also had the significant challenge of a breakdown of one of the turbines as a result of water ingress but managed £0 get it up and running in time for the Monday start, aided by Support from those who battled through difficult conditions te et to the station, The rains in the fist half of August were in stark contrast to a very dry July, which saw our storages receive just over lf of the average inflows.
