TYPE
1.Window Types
-Control Group (8 or 16 loops)
-Overview
-Graphic
-Trend
2.Window Name
A user-defined window name is a string up to 16 single-byte
alphanumeric characters (capital letters only for English alphabet).
3.Help Dialog Name
In the help dialog box, system-fixed help message and user-defined
message can be displayed.
4.Window Comment
An explanatory description for each user-defined up to 24 single-byte
characters.

SET DETAILS
1.Window Operation and Monitoring Authority
The following three of operation and monitoring authorities can be
set for windows:
-General Window
-Important Window
-System operation window
The table below shows operation and monitoring authorities on windows.
Control Group Window

Control Group
A 8-loop Control Group Window Definition will be display 8 full-size instrument
faceplates for assignment and 16-loop Control Group Window Definition will be
display 16 full-size instrument faceplates for assignment.

Instrument Diagram
1. Display Format
The display content of an instrument diagram differs by the type
of a faceplate.Select either normal type compact type.
2. Instrument diagram Width
This set whether the instrument diagram is displayed in the default width(single-
width) or in double width.
3.Operation Control Key (for CS3000)
The operation key(INC/DEC key) on the console type HIS may be
specified for the corresponding instrument faceplates on the display position 1 to 8.
4.Tag Name
Enter text for the tag name for name of an instrument diagram to be displayed on
the faceplate.

Overview Window
OVERVIEW BLOCKS
An Overview Window Definition will be display 32 blocks for function and display assignment.

The Overview tab strip is used to set the monitoring target to be assigned to an overview object.It also sets the
properties of the display data and the presence/absence of an alarm notification according to the selected
monitoring target.

1.Type
This sets the type of monitoring target to be assigned to an overview object.
2.Tag Name
Enter text for the tag name to be assigned to an overview object.
3.First Line Display Label
Select either a tag name or tag comment as a label to be displayed in in the first line of an
overview object.

Function property
The Function tab strip is used to set function to be assigned to touch targets, pushbuttons,
soft keys, and window link function.

Types of Assigning Functions

This sets the type of function to be assigned to an object.functions such as system
function, key function and graphic window specific function can be assigned.The
available function type are show below.
- Call window
- Execute system function key
- Start/Stop/Restart trend
- LED Flashing on/off specification
- Execute program by file name
- Instrument command operation
- Call data input dialog
- Call menu dialog
- Report print out
- Panel set

In this item, the different features in the Graphic Builder environment is explained.
GRAPHICS BUILDER ENVIRONMENT
Create a graphic window [WINDOW NAME] in the HIS windows folder and open the file.

Creating a Graphic Window
To create a new graphic window go to Start → Programs → Yokogawa Centum →
System View → [Choose your project] → HIS Folder → Window Folder (Right Click) →

Window Size and Color
The Window Size and Background Color can be set in the Builder Environment by
File → Properties.
1. 1600 × 1072 dots

2. 1280 × 858 dots (recommended for 21 LCD)
3. 1024 × 686 dots
4. 800 × 536 dots
5. 640 × 429 dots
Setting Properties for Files

The property setting menu box is used to display properties or change their setting.

Attribute tap strip
Basic attributes related to windows, panel update interval, and background color are set in the
attribute tab strip.
The unit of update interval is a multiple of the

basic update cycle unit(1 sec) for HIS operation
and monitoring.

Data Bind tap strip
The graphic objects may be dynamically bound graphic generic name.
Binding the different generic names, the data displayed on the window may be swapped
accordingly.

Window link function tap strip
The Window Linked Function tab strip is used to set automatic execution of the assigned
functions at graphic window display start/end.

The Graphic Builder provides specific tools to create and edit graphic objects that
compose a Graphic window. The Graphic Builder contains the following types of
toolbars.

ICON NAME DESCRIPTION
SAVE Writes the edited contents to a file.
CREATE WORKING FILE Creates a work file.
PRINT Starts printing.
SCREEN IMAGE PRINT VIEW Displays the screen print preview of printout.
SCREEN DATA PRINT VIEW Displays the print preview of data set for objects.
DEBUG Executes debugging.
CUT Deletes the selected objects and stores them on clipboard.
COPY Stores the selected objects on clipboard.
PASTE Extracts the data stored on clipboard.
Standard Toolbar
COPY MODIFY Copies the graphic modifier setting of the selected object.
PASTE MODIFY Pastes the graphic modifier setting that is copied onto the
selected object.
UNDO Cancels the previous edit operation.
GRID Switches the grid display between on and off.
SNAP TO GRID Switches the snap to grid setting between on and off.
ZOOM IN Enlarges the display area.
ZOOM OUT Reduces the display area.
AREA ZOOM Enlarges a specific area.
SPECIFY ZOOM SIZE Specifies the size of display area.

FONT TYPE Selects font type of text.
FONT SIZE Selects font size of text.
BOLD Displays text in boldface.
ITALIC Displays text in italics.
UNDERLINE Underlines text.
TEXT COLOR Displays the menu from which a text color is selected.
FILL COLOR Displays the menu from which a fill color is selected.
LINE COLOR Displays the menu from which a line color is selected.
LINE TYPE Displays the menu from which a line type is selected.
LINE THICKNESS Displays the menu from which thickness of a line is selected.
LINE END Displays the menu from which items such as directions of
arrows are selected.
PROPERTIES Displays the property sheet of the selected object.

Edit Object Toolbar
ALIGN Opens a dialog for aligning the selected objects.
DISTRIBUTE Opens a dialog for arranging the selected objects evenly.
GROUP Groups the selected objects.
UNGROUP Ungroup the selected group objects.
BRING TO FRONT Moves the selected object to the very top.
SEND TO BACK Moves the selected object to the very bottom.
BRING FORWARD Moves up the selected object by one layer.
SEND BACKWARD Moves down the selected object by one layer.
Edit Object Toolbar
FLIP HORIZONTALLY Flips the currently selected object horizontally.
FLIP VERTICALLY Flips the currently selected object vertically.

ROTATE 90 COUNTER Rotates the selected object 90 degrees to the left.

Display data
To display the process data or batch data handled by the FCS on graphic windows using
numeric values and text.
Process data bar

To display the process data handled by the FCS on graphic windows using the rectangular bar.

To display the process data handled by the FCS on graphic windows using the arrow bar.
Creating a touch target

The touch target is an object that executes assigned function, such as a window calling,
by touching a panel or selecting a function with a cursor.

Displaying the push button
The push button is an object that executes assigned function as window calling.
Graphic Modify
The graphic modify tap strip, the timing for changing the object, the display status of the
object such as color, blinking, and condition to modify the display attributes of a graphic object
may be set.
