Subject: Regarding Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan 2021-22: India’s Largest Science Talent
Search Examination for New India using Digital Devices
Dear Sir/Madam,
On behalf of Team VVM, let me take this opportunity to thank you and your team for
coordinating and assisting in conducting VVM -2020 National level app-based examination
successfully amid such crucial situations.
COVID-19 clouds are still looming, and there is no certainty as to when our children will be
able to join concrete school building. However, as the society adopted the new normal and
continued the education of the children through various sources and modes by keeping them
engaged. Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan also launched its 10th edition adding attractive new
features for the benefit of our future young talented generation.
VVM 2021 was launched on 7 th August by Honourable, Minister of Education for State, Dr
Subhas Sarkar Govt. of India in the presence of various dignitaries like Dr. Nakul Parashar,
Director, Vigyan Prasar; Prof. Sridhar Srivastava, Director, NCERT; Sh. M. C. Sharma,
General Secretary, Council of Boards of School Education in India; Sh. Raghavan Kavalan,
Deputy Commissioner (Academic), Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya; Sh. Jayant Sahasrabudhe,
National Organising Secretary, Vijnana Bharati, Dr. Arvind C. Ranade, Scientist ‘F’, Vigyan

o Open Book Exam to be attempted from Home at any time between 10am -5pm.
o Questions based on analytical skills, knowledge and critical thinking as per NEP 2020.
o Registered students will get an opportunity to participate in Mega Science

o Experiment wherein students will be evaluated with the data they will submit of the food
intake for few days, hypothesis of the same will be shared so that they will know the
nutritional value and environmental impact of their food habits.
o Bhaskara scholarship of Rs. 2000/- (per month) for Himalayans and an opportunity to be
mentored by a Scientist of repute.
o Extensive Training -cum- Internship of 1 to 3 weeks at R&D laboratory for National Level
Winners (Himalayans and Zonal)
o Option to attempt in any of the 10 languages in addition to English.
o Student can register as an individual student or can register through school. (If registered
from school service charge of ₹20/- per student can be retained by the school) Or schools can
provide the referral code allotted to each school to connect the students under schools’ code.
o In addition to NCERT syllabus, students will get an opportunity to read life sketch of
Acharya Prafulla Chandra Ray & India’s Freedom Struggle and Science focusing on 75 years
of India’s journey.
This year also seems not an ordinary year too with challenges caused by the 2 nd wave waiting
for 3rd. Let’s not give up to situations and always stand strong like a warrior this time will also
pass by. The New Educational policy will be implemented in 2022, which will give the taste
of its new structure of transformational reforms with multidisciplinary education, equitable to
promote curiosity, knowledge and critical thinking, in addition to choose of regional language
and VVM took this initiative in 2018. We are very happy to share this with you all.
