FINAL TASKPERFORMANCE
QUEER THEORY
Gameboys- This series follows Cairo and Gavreel, two gamers who meet through
internet gaming. Gavreel begins as a gamer and follower of prominent live streamer
Cairo, and they meet after Gavreel defeats Cairo in an anonymous game. Despite the
competitive character of their first encounter, they later become friends. Because
COVID-19 has kept us restricted to our homes over the past few months, gaming has
become a popular hobby. That's why Gameboys were so well welcomed since their love
story of two lovers meeting online and via gaming is more realistic than ever.
ARCHETYPES
Pangako sa’Yo- In this series, Daniel Padilla has a character named Angelo. He is a lost
and rebellious young guy who found his passion for cooking and found himself because
of love for Yna, a simple lady from the province.
AFFECT THEORY
Seven Sundays- This film is about the siblings reuniting at their childhood home for their
dying father, debuted nearly four years ago. That is why, every Sunday, they must set
aside their personal affairs to spend time with their father. In the process, they must deal
with their unresolved issues before it's too late.
POPULAR PSYCHOLOGY
Seklusyon- The film is set in 1947 and portrays an ancient Church practice known as
"seclusion," in which aspiring priests were taken to a secluded area for their final seven
days of instruction. Ronnie Alonte, Dominic Roque, John Vic De Guzman, and JR
Versales play the young deacons who are lured by the seven sins brought out by the
Devil's kid, Anghela, played by Rhed Bustamante. Anghela is introduced in this film as a
miraculous healer who is finally elevated to a high pedestal by the people. However, as
the film unfolds, viewers are pushed to reconsider her name and virtue's alleged
"angelicness."

IDENTITY EROSION
Through Night and Day- It is a 2018 comedy-drama, has transported us into the world
of realizations to consider if we are picking the appropriate person to be with for the rest
of our lives—as terrifying as it may appear, but heck, this what the film all about.
Afterward, create a 100-word essay “What have you learned in Philippine Popular Culture”?

In relation to this topic, I've studied and learned about popular culture, which consists of popular
concepts, ideas, attitudes, viewpoints, and images. Pop culture also includes entertainment,
sports, clothing, and technology. As a result, it grew increasingly worldwide at the end of the
twentieth century and now in the twenty-first. As we all know, popular culture has changed how
individuals interact in everyday situations. Pop culture is also defined by its clothes, greeting
customs, and language. Of course, social media platforms play an important part in popularizing
and shaping that culture. In other words, our daily lives define popular culture.
