Cofar is a very popular floor of this type . It consists of high strength , deeply
corrugated steel sheets ( the
reinforcement and form ) with transverse

wires ( T -wires ) welded to it. The latter provide temperature reinforcement,
mechanical anchorage , and longitudinal shear developers between the con
crete and the Cofar . Thus Cofar functions as the complete positive and tem
perature reinforcement , as well as the form for the concrete slab construction .
