3. TASK PERFORMED

 SAFETY EQUIMENTS AND MEASURES

 Safety helmet: These are used for protecting the head from the materials that falls from
the top.
 Safety belt: It is used while working at the edge of the building, lift area, shafts etc. to
catch if someone slips or falls.
 Safety shoe: To prevent from foot injuries.
 Welding shield, goggles, gloves: To prevent eyes from fire sparks, during the welding
process or while cutting the iron rods.
 Gum boots: It is used while mixing the mortar, and while concreting the slab.
 Safety net/catch net: Safety nets are tied around the building and below every floors so
that whenever someone falls the net catches the person or also to catch the things that
falls from the top.

 PT Beams
 In Building construction, post tensioning allows longer clear spans, fewer beams and
more slender, dramatic elements. The advantage of post-tensioning is that beam slabs can
be continuous, i.e, a single beam can run continuously from one end of the building to the
other.

 In building and slab-on-ground construction, unbonded tendons are typically

prefabricated at a plant and delivered to the construction site, ready to install.

The tendons are laid out in the forms in accordance with installation drawings that
indicate how they are to be spaced, what their profileshould be, and where they are to be
stressed. After the concrete is placed and has reached its required strength the tendons are
stressed and anchored.

 SLAB CONSTRUCTION:

SLAB CONSTRUCTION DETAILS :

S1

 Slab thickness = 150mm

 Cover block = 20mm

S2

 Slab thickness = 200mm

 Cover block = 20mm

 Grade of concrete M40

5
 CONCRETING

 Concrete production is the process of mixing together the various ingredients—water,

aggregate, cement, and any additives to produce concrete.

 Concrete production is time-sensitive. Once the ingredients are mixed, workers must put
the concrete in place before it hardens.

 In modern usage, most concrete production takes place in a large type of industrial
facility called a concrete plant, or often a batch plant.

 Thorough mixing is essential for the production of uniform, high-quality concrete.

 For this reason equipment and methods should be capable of effectively mixing concrete
materials containing the largest specified aggregate to produce uniform mixtures of the
lowest slump practical for the work.

 After finishing of reinforcement work and shuttering it is time for casting. Slab, beam,
staircase were casted at time. In our site we used concrete mix ratio of M40.
