Basic V-Neck Pullover round or to desired length

Notes: Next round: BO 5 (5, 6, 6, 7, 7) sts, K to 5 (5, 6, 6, 7, 7) sts before

Sometimes, a simple pullover is all you need. Great for beginners,
this pullover is knit in the round from the bottom up until the
neckline in simple stockinette through out the body. Hemmed
cuffs and a v-neck collar completes this classic sweater.

Place remaining sts on holder or waste yarn.
Make second Sleeve to match.

Stockinette Stitch (St st, worked flat over any number of sts)
Row 1 (RS): Knit all sts.
Row 2 (WS): Purl all sts.
Repeat Rows 1 and 2 for pattern.
To work St st in the round, knit every round.
M1L (Make 1 Left-leaning stitch)
PU the bar between st just worked and next st and place on LH
needle as a regular stitch; knit through the back loop.
M1R (Make 1 Right-leaning stitch)
PU the bar between st just worked and next st and place on LH
needle backwards (incorrect stitch mount). Knit through the front
loop.
DIRECTIONS
Body
With smaller needles, CO 60 (69, 78, 87, 96, 105) sts, pm for side
seam, CO 60 (69, 78, 87, 96, 105), pm for beginning of round and
join to work in the round, being careful not to twist sts. 120 (138,
156, 174, 192, 210) sts.
Yoke
You will now join the body and sleeves into one continuous
round.
Round 1: With larger needle K 30 (36, 40, 46, 50, 56) left sleeve
sts, pm, K 25 (30, 33, 38, 41, 46) front body sts, pm (this marks
the new beginning of round) K 25 (29, 33, 37, 41, 45) remaining
Front body sts, pm, K 30 (36, 40, 46, 50, 56) right sleeve sts,
pm, K 50 (59, 66, 75, 82, 91) Back body sts, pm, join to continue
working in the round, and work to marker at center front which is
the new beginning of the round. 160 (190, 212, 242, 264, 294) sts.
K 3 (4, 4, 5, 5, 6) rounds plain.
Next Round: *K to 2 sts before marker, k2tog, sl m, k to next
marker, sl m, ssk, rep from * 1 time more, k to end of round. 4 sts
dec.
Repeat this round 7 (8, 9, 10, 11, 13) times more. 30 (36, 40, 46, 50,
56) sts each sleeve, 17 (21, 23, 27, 29, 32) left front sts, 17 (20, 23,
26, 29, 31) right front sts, 34 (41, 46, 53, 58, 63) back sts, 128 (154,
172, 198, 216, 238) total sts.

K 5 rounds

Round 6: Switch to larger needles, p all sts to create a hem

Round 2 *P1, k1, repeat from * to end of round.
Round 3: *P1, k1, repeat from * to 2 sts before marker, sl next 2 sts
at once kwise, remove marker, k1, pass 2 slipped sts over, replace
marker. 2 sts dec.
Round 4: * K1, p1, repeat from * to last st, k1.
Repeat rounds 1-3 one time more. BO in patt as given in round 4.
Finishing
Sew underarm seams.

Repeat these last 2 rows from * 1 (2, 2, 3, 3, 4) times more. (only
the sleeve decreases are worked). 4 (4, 6, 4, 6, 6) sleeve sts.
Shape Shoulders
Right Front
Next Row (RS): K to marker, sl marker, ssk, TURN. 1 right sleeve st
dec.
For turned body and sleeve hems: Turn garment inside out. Turn
hem up at purl ridge so wrong sides are facing together. Pin hems
in place and sew CO edge to inside of body/sleeve, being careful
that the sts don't show through on the front.
Weave in ends. Block to schematic measurements.

Next Row(WS): sl1 p-wise, sl m, p to end of row.

Repeat these last 2 rows 0 (0, 2, 0, 2, 2) times more. 3 right sleeve

sts rem.

Next Row (RS): BO all sts to first m, remove marker, BO 1 st. K to

next m, sl m, *sl1 p-wise, k next marker, slip m, ssk, TURN. 1 left
sleeve st dec.

Next Row (WS) Sl1, sl m, p to marker, sl, m, p2tog, TURN. 1 right

sleeve st dec.

Repeat last two rows from *, once more.

There should be no sts remaining on the right sleeve. 2 (2, 4, 2, 4,

4) left sleeve sts remain.

Left Front
Next Row (RS): Remove marker, BO all Back sts in knit to next
marker, remove marker, k to end of row.

Next Row (WS): P to marker, sl m, P2tog, TURN. 1 left sleeve dec.

Next Row: Sl1 p-wise, K to end of row.

Repeat these last 2 rows 0 (0, 2, 0, 2, 2) times more. There should

be 1 st remaining on the left sleeve. BO all remaining sts in k.

Aligning fronts and back, sew shoulder seams over 6 (8, 10, 11, 13,
14) sts

Collar
With smaller needle and beginning at center front (lowest part of
v-neck) pick up 2 sts for every 3 rows along right front edge of V.
20 (23, 26, 30, 31, 34) sts. Continue across BO edge of back neck,
picking up 24 (28, 30, 38, 40, 42) sts, and then continue down left
front, as with right front, picking up 2 sts for every 3 rows: 20 (23,
26, 30, 31, 34) sts. 64 (74, 82, 98, 102, 110) sts on needle. PM and
join to work in the round.
