International Labour Organisation Report on Domestic Workers

 The International Labour Organisation (ILO) recently released its report
on Domestic Workers.
 अों तराा ष्ट्रीय श्रम सों गठन (ILO) ने हाल ही में घरे लू कामगार ों पर अपनी ररप टा जारी की।
 According to the report, only 6 % of domestic workers across the world
have access to comprehensive social protection.
 ररप टा के अनु सार, दु ननया भर में केवल 6% घरे लू कामगार ों के पास व्यापक सामानजक
सुरक्षा है ।
 Report notes that, 94 per cent of the domestic workers are lacking
access to full range of protections, covering medical care, old age,
sickness, unemployment, family, maternity, employment injury, invalidity
and survivors’ benefits.

 6 million domestic workers of the world face multiple barriers in enjoying
legal coverage and effective access to social security.

प्रभावी पहों ि का आनोंद ले ने में कई बाधाओों का सामना करना पड़ता है।
 Report notes that, around 76.2 per cent (57.7 million) of domestic
workers are women. Thus, social protection gaps leave women
vulnerable, in particular.

 In Central Asia and Europe, 57.3 per cent of domestic workers are legally
covered for all benefits. Around 10 per cent have enjoy such right in
Americas. None of the workers are fully covered in the Arab States, the
Pacific, Asia and Africa regions.

  It was started as a Reading Day celebration on June 19, 1996, by the
Government of Kerala in association with the P N Panicker Foundation.
 यह 19 जून, 1996 क केरल सरकार द्वारा पी एन पननकर िाउों डेशन के सहय ग से एक
पठन नदवस समार ह के रूप में शुरू नकया गया था।
