driven. Students have “Voice and Choice” in the activities, selecting the topic of study and determining the
technology tool to demonstrate mastery of the standard. The teacher becomes more of a facilitator.

☐ Expansion Level: The projects created are shared outside of the classroom, publishing student work and
promoting authorship. This could be reached by showcasing the project on the school’s morning newscast,
posting the project to the classroom blog, or publishing via an outside source.

Describe what will happen AFTER the SRT activity?

Students will review their results as a class. Students and teacher will engage in a closing discussion to talk
about next steps. Teacher may clear common misconceptions or challenge students beyond the standard.
How will the data be used?
This data will guide instruction for pacing. Teachers usually have an allotted time for standards. Teacher will
review the results to note in gradebook as an assessment of learning. Students can reflect and share their results
with each other. Students will review their results as a class. Students and teacher will engage in a closing
discussion to talk about next steps. Teacher may clear common misconceptions or challenge students beyond
the standard.
Describe your personal learning goal for this activity. I am excited to expose second graders to a new
resource to showcase their learning. I am hoping that students learn to communicate their knowledge precisely
on the open-ended questions. This is a great tool to help students learn because it offers feedback in real -time
and provides students with the opportunity to resubmit a response.
Reflective Practice: This lesson will uniquely impact student learning. Students will enjoy this
purposeful lesson as they work to meet-exceed learning goals. The students will be motivated to learn
new information and share their works with their peers and families. I look forward to enhancing the
skills of young learners with hopes that they will take this newly developed skill and thrive!
