Worksheet #2

1.) Based from the Lecture and discussion what will be your role and responsibilities in your

future workplace?

a. I feel that the job that will be provided to me once I graduate from college will be

in accordance with the course that I completed, thus I will be working for a

private company's management. Based from the lecture and discussion given, my

responsibilities as a worker would be to have full compliance with the OSHS or

Occupational Safety and Health Standards. This is extremely important for the

sector of work that I will be entering in the future since it discusses how to avoid

workplace accidents and harmful circumstances. I also believe that promoting

safety in the workplace would lead to successful operations and projects without

endangering the lives of the people involved. To improve electrical safety,

including electrical worker competency and the process for self-certification of

electrical work and to help the Electrical Safety Officer (Electrical Safety

Inspection Service and Compliance) guarantee that the legislation enforced by

Electricity Standards and Safety is followed more closely. To supervise the

creation, execution, and review of electrical training and related legal competency

requirements. Conduct audits and investigations, as well as provide guidance and

consulting assistance on all electrical safety issues, with the goal of decreasing

noncompliance, particularly faulty electrical work. In addition, as a worker, I am

expected to attend a necessary 8-hour safety and health course, as mandated by

DOLE, in order to ensure workplace safety. I should also take the competency

evaluation, especially because I will be working with machinery and

technological equipment in the future.

2.) Based on the 2 types of inspection, which is/are applicable to your workplace or future

workplace and why?

a. A technical inspection and testing would fit my program as we would be involved

with majority of technical and electrical issues country-wide and more. Therefore,

a Technical Safety Inspection would be applicable for my future workplace as it

includes the checking of electrical installations which fits my criteria of being an

electrical engineer. As an electrical engineer working in the sector, you'll be

required to have a thorough understanding of the apparatus, equipment, machines,

and, most importantly, the behavior of electricity, and you'll be working with a

variety of tools. Because your workplace as an engineer will be loaded with

engineering equipment that requires technically to be correctly examined whether

it is harmful to use, the calibration is outdated, or it is not performing well, there

should be a technical safety inspection.

3.) What are the benefits under the Employees’ Compensation Program by ECC?

a. The EC Program provides the following benefits:

i. Loss of Income Benefit,

ii. Medical Benefit,

iii. Death & Funeral Benefits,

iv. and Rehabilitation Services as administered by SSS and GSIS.

4.) What is the duration of the monthly income benefit for Permanent Partial Disability
