Focus For Debate

Engage in a debate with your colleagues using the following positions: (1) mothering is an

inherently female trait versus (2) mothering is not an inherently female trait.

Mothering is a character taught to ladies and not something someone is born in

them. The lady's attitude and perception of mothering are the primary determinants of her trait.

Approve is that you can find an incident where biological sisters who were raised together, under

the same biological parent, attend the same learning institute and go through the same passage of

rite. But after all, you find out that one has a good mothering trait while the other does not have a

good mothering trait. Therefore, my colleagues, I take this opportunity to support the motion that

mothering is not an inherently female trait.

The motherly trait is a character developed in ladies by the learning process; the

learning may be either by example or by reference. Learning by example is where the ladies' mother

teaches her motherly traits using her model and directly engages them to the same since they are

young. Therefore the girls will rise knowing the does and don'ts of a mother's office. So the ladies

with positive altitude will copy the motherly trait of their biological mother.

Learning by reference is where a lady tries to associate with a particular character she observes

from a woman, either from media, neighborhood or even in a worshipping area. The lady's nature

will copy will highly influence her motherly trait. For instance, When a lady's mother is a drunkard,

and she feels annoyed by her mother's character and starts gaining interest in a religious mother,

there is a significant probability that the motherly trait of the mother and her child be opposite each

other and vice versa.

In conclusion, is the Motherly trait something that the female gender learns and is not born with;

that is why there is a change in their quality as time goes by? This is because nowadays, they have

high consideration in the law that did not have right in the past. That's why in this generation,

motherly traits are hard to find in women since they learned that they are given equality right under

the law and hence start to practice leadership and engage in other actions that were set aside for

men. Therefore leads to the Destruction of their motherly trait in them.
