2. Internship description (Position and Responsibilities)


This part will focus on your experiences with the organization.
Include information like:

 A brief introduction of the department of the organization where you did your
internship.
 Starting and ending dates of your internship.
 Names of the departments in which you got training and the duration of your training.
 a. Detailed description of the operations/activities performed by the department(s) you
worked in.
 b. Detailed description of the task(s) assigned to you OR detailed description of the
project assigned.

o describe your responsibilities as an intern with the company.

Hint1: to have an idea about job description and responsibilities,

google “what is (name of position or department for example marketing) job description.

Hint2: google “what is (name of position or department for example marketing) KPI or
objective?”
Hint3: use LinkedIn to see internship position, rules, and responsibilities.

3. Overview of internship
Include information like:
 the specific things you learned and
 the skills you developed.
o relate these skills back to your educational experiences.
 answer these questions, “What did you learn, see, read, hear etc.?

Example: During my internship experience with [Company Name], I was able to develop my
[skills]. I particularly found [experiences] to be useful in improving my [skill]. Although I found
[experience] to be challenging, I found it to be valuable in developing my [skill].

4. Ongoing consideration
It can also be useful to consider the skills or experiences that you would still like to develop.

Include information like:


 Skilled you want to develop more.
 Experience you want to develop more.
o For example, if you wish you had been able to get more direct client
experience, discuss that.
o If you had hoped to be more involved in the technical aspect of the business,
you could mention that as well.
 This process gives your insight into things you want to continue working on in your
next position, while also recommending ways the organization can improve its
internship program.

Example: While I had many useful experiences at [Company Name], I feel that I still need to
develop my confidence levels with [task]. I would have enjoyed more time completing [task].
In conclusion, [details].

internship supervisor and course structure. Thus, maintain a professional method of
communication and carefully proofread your report before submitting it.
