Theorems:
- Vertical angles are congruent

- Perpendicular lines form congruent right angles
- All right angles are congruent
- Angles with the same supplement are congruent
- Angles with the same complement are congruent

- Two lines perpendicular to the same line are parallel

- Two lines parallel to a third line are parallel to each other

Parallel Line Theorems: Converse:

- If // → Alternate Interior Angles congruent If Alt. Interior <’s congruent → //

- Definition of supplementary
- Definition of linear pair
Triangle Postulates:
-SAS Congruence Postulate
-AAS Congruence Postulate
-SSS Congruence Postulate
-ASA Congruence Postulate
- HL Congruence Postulate

*Be sure to add “Congruence Postulate” after the acronym, since later we’ll be applying some
of these to prove similarity instead of congruence!

Triangle Theorems:
- Third Angle Theorem
- Triangle Sum Theorem
- Exterior Angle Theorem
- Acute angles of a right triangle are complementary (Corollary to triangle sum theorem)
- Triangle Sum Theorem (the sum of the angles of a triangle is 180 degrees)
- Exterior Angle Theorem- (the measure of any exterior angle of a triangle is equal to the
sum of the two remote interior angles.
- -Third Angle Theorem (if 2 angles of one triangle are congruent to 2 angles of another
- triangle, the third angle must be congruent
