Direction: Do the following tasks. Answer the questions concisely. (200points)

1.Describe the 21st century school.

21st Century Schools offers constant mentoring and valuable resources for strengthening the
ability of school principals, teachers and policy makers. All schools will help young people learn new
digital skills and programming skills in a fun and interactive way.In order to be competitive in the global
labor market students need key skills such as problem solving, critical thinking, digital literacy and
creativity. Schools in the 21st century will be laced with a project-based curriculum for life aimed at
engaging students in addressing real-world problems, issues important to humanity, and questions that
matter.

2. Describe the 21st-century curriculum.

The classroom for the 21st century curriculum has been widened to represent the entire
community. Students are self-directed and work individually as well as collaboratively. The curriculum
and instruction are differentiated and developed to challenge all learners. Curriculum in the 21st century
should focus on the construction of knowledge and encourage students to produce the information that
has value or meaning to them in order to develop new skills. Preparing curriculum to be connected with
the real world can support student participation, their motivation and understanding for the academic
subjects, as well as preparing them for adult life.

3. Describe the 21st-century learners.

Today we must see learners in a new context: First – we must maintain student interest by helping
them see how what they are learning prepares them for life in the real world. Second – we must instill
curiosity, which is fundamental to lifelong learning. Third – we must be flexible in how we teach. Fourth
– we must excite learners to become even more resourceful so that they will continue to learn outside the
formal school day.

4. Describe the job demands in the 21st century.

A person who is ICT litarate and fexible and adaptive to change. Espicially we experienced pandemic
today. We need to be adaptive and find new ways to be productive.

6. Of the attributes of 21st-century education, which of these are clearly manifested

in our current educational situation? Which of these do you think is the most

needed? Explain your answer.

I think 21st Century Skills is slowly applied in our curicculum while the most we needed is Student
Centered and Relevant, Rigorous, and Real World, why? due to the fact this things lack in our previous
curicculum which are most needed. Not only it recognize the civersity of learners ability but also how to
address them. Since school teacher and mold students sometimes it forgot to teach things we really need
after school era like valid i.ds, tax, and etc.

7. Explain how you can integrate 21st-century education in the curriculum.

By simply applying in our curicuular and learn from it like in the 21 st curriculum we need to be
research driven. chools which aren’t traditional ‘international schools’ are also striving to create an
internationally connected education through travel opportunities, exchange programs, school
partnerships, international school leadership, and online communication. Learning to be a global citizen
is crucial in a world where technology is erasing borders, and you don’t necessarily need an international
education masters degree to incorporate this into your teaching.

8. What is the most important characteristic of a 21st-century teacher? Why?

Has a passion for learning, I think this one is the most important. Imagine a teacher who doesn’t
love teaching, it would be chaos and learners are the most affected by this. That’s why we have a lot of
mentors who doesn’t even teach or ignore their duty as a teacher. Students learn nothing, as a student I
need a guidance from a person who is wiser and gained a lot of experienced than me.
