1. What is your research study all about?


Our research study aims to know the Difference of Transportation Situation
Before and During the New Normal in Brgy. San Roque Antipolo City. We, researchers shall
disseminate online survey questionnaires to drivers and passengers in the designated area. We
researchers aim to carefully analyse the collected data to provide a complete overview of the
convenience of different transportation situations in a pandemic era. Upon analyzing the
collected data, We also researchers will identify the factors that contribute to the transportation
situation in Brgy. San Roque. 

2. Why did you choose this study?


In today’s situation, Schwartz (2020) believes that, public transportation possesses a number of
characteristics associated with a higher Covid-19 score. Transmission Overcrowding on buses,
jeepneys, tricycles, and other modes of public transportation is a risk. Many people are affected
by this type of situation as a result of Covid-19. No one was permitted to travel during the
pandemic. Or to go outside except for the frontliners due to lockdown, In order to avoid Covid-
19 transmission. Many people are unemployed. Especially those who drive public
transportation. And because of that, We, researchers aims to know the difference in
transportation situation in Brgy. San Roque Antipolo City.

3. Why did you choose this particular title for your research?

Our research group choose this topic of our research to determine the difference in
transportation situation before and during the new normal in Brgy. San Roque Antipolo City,
Rizal. In which the study considers the drivers and passengers viewpoints in how their daily
transportation the situation affects them. The factors of this study are to analyze the amount of
fares, travel time, and number of vehicles per day before and during the new normal.

4. What is the scope and limitation of your study? / What is the purpose of your study?
The main purpose of this study is to determine the difference in transportation
situation before and during the new normal in Brgy. San Roque Antipolo City, Rizal. The
study considers the drivers and passengers viewpoints in how their daily transportation
the situation affects them. The factors of this study are to analyze the amount of fares,
travel time, and number of vehicles per day before and during the new normal.
The researchers limited the study to thirty (30) male and female drivers and passengers of Brgy.
San Roque Antipolo City, Rizal who experienced the difference in transportation situation before
and during the new normal. Each of the respondents will be interviewed through an online
survey using mobile applications for researchers to get their point of view.
Only the drivers and passengers of Brgy. San Roque Antipolo City, Rizal were
chosen to participate in the study to get their experiences in transportation situation
before and during the new normal. The participants of this study responded voluntarily
and were not coerced by the researchers.

5. How did you come up with this research?


We come up with this research to determine the difference in transportation situation before
and during the new normal in Brgy. San Roque Antipolo City, Rizal. In which the study considers
the drivers and passengers viewpoints in how their daily transportation the situation affects
them.

6. Can you tell us about the Statement of the Problem?


This research intends to find out the difference of transportation situation before and during the
new normal in a specific travel route in Brgy. San Roque Antipolo City and its impact on drivers
and passengers. Specifically, the researchers aims to answer the following questions:
1. What changes have occurred in the transportation situation before and during the New
Normal?
2. Who is the most affected by the changes? Drivers or passengers?
3. How did the pandemic affect drivers' and passengers' daily transportation before and
after the new normal?

7. How did you conduct your research?


We, researchers shall disseminate online survey questionnaires to drivers and passengers in the

8. What is your future recommendations to the future researchers?

This research will help the future researcher to further


analyze the situation of transportation before and during pandemic this will enlighten the
future generation on how pandemic affects everything. Future researcher may use our
research as their preferences.

9. Who are the beneficiaries of this study?

Due to health protocols in the new normal, only a limited number of passengers
are allowed to travel by public transportation. Drivers and passengers are affected by its
effects on public transportation, such as changed travel time, vehicle number, and
increased fare.The difference of transportation before and during pandemic is a great
factor to every citizen of Brgy. San Roque, Antipolo City.
The findings of this study may therefore be of great use and importance to the
following:
Drivers . This research may give an aspect into our transportation, economic
development, better livelihood of drivers and improved systems for the programs that
focus on facilitating the daily travel of our passengers.
Teachers. This study may serve for them as a data for further studies on how

Students. This study can provide knowledge to the students to further improve
their education and give them an idea of how they can use their allowance correctly for
their preferences and needs. Through research this can be more useful for them a
senior high students.
Passengers/Commuters. The results of this study may help commuters in
deciding its commute mode and understanding why the fare changes during the new
normal compared to its previous cost of travel before the new normal.
Parents. This research can improve parents' understanding of wealth data and
information on creating a budget for the family.This research will also help parents to
provide guidance for determining true costs of human service transportation on today's
generation.
Future Researcher. This research will help the future researcher to further
analyze the situation of transportation before and during pandemic this will enlighten the
future generation on how pandemic affects everything. Future researcher may use our
research as their preferences.

10. What is the hypothesis of your study?


The COVID-19 pandemic poses a great challenge for contemporary public transportation
worldwide. When the pandemic started, the residents in Brgy. San Roque Antipolo City, Rizal
believed that the pandemic would not affect their daily transportation. They thought that the
virus would not bring a big impact to them,especially in their transportation.
A few months passed when the pandemic started and the problem in transportation
began. When fares were compared before and after the pandemic, they were found to be
higher. It also had an impact on travel time and vehicle capacity in the transportation sector.
The COVID-19 pandemic has a significant impact on the daily transportation of Brgy. San Roque;
the null hypothesis is rejected.

11. What is the Subject of the Study?


The subjects of this study are the passengers and drivers of Brgy. San Roque Antipolo City, who
traveled the specific route Marigman St. Brgy. San Roque Antipolo City (SRNHS) to Antipolo
Cathedral.
This study will observe and survey drivers and passengers aged 20 and under, 21 to 30 years old,
31-40 years old, and 41 to 50 years old and above, both male and female. Furthermore, their
profile, such as years of driving or riding as a passenger.
The researchers use convenience and random sampling techniques.

The findings of this study will help passengers in adjusting to the new normal in terms of
transportation. Passengers will also be able to understand why their fares have increased, as
well as the travel time and vehicle capacity of the vehicles they are riding in. Furthermore,
drivers will be able to understand the changes in transportation situations in the new normal
and also be informed about how these changes will affect them as public transport drivers.

12. What is the Procedure of the study?


The researchers asked the school principal (San Roque National High School) for her approval
to conduct this research. After which the researchers surveyed the thirty (30) drivers and
passengers who experienced the difference of transportation situation before and during the
new normal in Brgy. San Roque Antipolo City. The researchers conducted an online survey to the
respondents of the study using mobile phones and noted all responses that are essential in the
study. The researchers analyzed and interpreted each response to come up with a conclusion
and made the recommendation based on the result of the study.

13. What is the Sources of Data of this research?


In this study, the researchers will collect data from survey questionnaires and observations.
They also use data from reliable websites to back up their findings. Primary data refers to the
first hand data gathered by the researcher himself. The conclusion that this study presents is
based on the transportation situation around the Brgy. San Roque of Antipolo City.
The structure and limitations of these data strongly influence the
choice of the following methods:
Primary Data: The data gathered by the researchers are based on Antipolo's transportation
situations; different activities about transportation were reported on the City of Antipolo's
office. The data collected by the researchers are more reliable and authentic.

14. What is the Statistical Statement of this research?


In a survey regarding the situations of transportation before and during the new normal, it
provides access services and activities, such as education, employment, shopping, and social
events would be important to us passengers as now to go outside in daily lives.The access
service is to ensure the highest level of protection for a building and its occupants and contents
by managing access to reduce risk.
After a year of the Covid 19 pandemic, it is evident the transport industry was the most
affected on the economic level. The travel restrictions that were put in place to minimize the
spread of the virus hindered the capability of companies to transport passengers from different
places around the world and the freedom of movements.
During the Covid 19, Transportation shifted from moving passengers to playing an essential
core role in ensuring the freight and key Workers can continue to move,which leads to a sudden
shift in the revenue resources for transportation to keep the operations going and experiencing
unexpected financial shortfall.
Checking Covid 19 test results and others need information, as these procedures will
prolong traveling. Social distancing and managing queuing in innovative ways will lessen the
absorptive capacity of the different means of transportation.
Since the transport industry is the most vulnerable and affected industry during the
pandemic , it is anticipated that it will be the last to recover from the impact of Covid 19. The
recovery of transportation is fully dependent on to what extent safety procedures were applied
during the first wave of the pandemic.

15. What is the Setting of the Study?


This study was conducted at San Roque National High School which is located at 15
Marigman St. Barangay San Roque Antipolo City, Rizal, Philippines under the chairmanship of
Mr. Leandro S. Cabasbas.

San Roque, originally Poblacion, is a barrio in Antipolo City, Rizal province, Philippines. The
population was 70,120 according to the 2020 Census. This accounted for 7.90 percent of
Antipolo's total population. As of today, there are 16 barangay and over many TODA in Antipolo.
The researcher wants to know how transportation differed before and during the pandemic.

Furthermore, the researchers chose Brgy. San Roque as the location for their study. To explore
the differences in transportation issues before and after the new normal in San Roque Antipolo
City, Rizal, Philippines.

16. Who are the respondents of this research?


The researchers shall disseminate online survey questionnaires to drivers and passengers in the
designated area. The researchers aim to carefully analyze the collected data to provide a
complete overview of the convenience of different transportation situations in a pandemic era.
Upon analyzing the collected data, the researchers will also identify the factors that contribute
to the transportation situation in Brgy. San Roque.
