In the context of educational leadership the application of contingency underlines the

importance of the variables that affect the organization’s frame work so that a manager
can be effective.
This theory is based on the assumption that no single leadership style is appropriate in all
situations. According to it leadership is quit inflexible, thus depends on matching internal
organization characteristics with individual case.
