Santiago de Chile

Santiago de Chile is the capital of the Republic of Chile, it is located in the south of Latin
America and has very high and magnificent buildings that contrast with the natural places
where you can spend memorable moments.
Here we have five interesting places I found to visit in Santiago de Chile:
1. Barrio Lastarria and Barrios de Bellas Artes
2. Centro Cívico (Civic Center).
3. Metropolitan Park
4. Palacio de la Moneda
5. Museum of Memory and Human Rights.
1. Barrio Lastarria and Barrios de Bellas Artes

These “barrios” have narrow roads and noisy spaces but, it is for sure that you will enjoy visiting
them.

In this place you are going to have wide outdoor and indoor options as pop bars, theaters,
and ideal spaces for exercise practicing. If you are a coffee or wine lover, this is the perfect
place for having a drink with your friends or family.

Do not forget to visit its famous clothing and furniture stores, art academies, among others
pretty tourist attractions that brighten up this fabulous and warm places.
2. Centro Cívico (Civic Center).

This is a wide outdoor space where you will see the huge buildings of the Chilean Army Forces.

The Civic Center of Santiago de Chile is located right in the city center; most of its
buildings are public institutions like ministries, among others. This is one of the most
interesting places in the city because of its modern style constructions.
There you will find the Plaza de la Constitución, an ideal outdoor space for leisure and
rest. Be sure to pass by Paseo Bulnes, a tourist destination where there are a lot of buy/sell
spaces for all tastes.
3. Metropolitan Park

This park possesses huge green and peaceful stand by areas to enjoy nature and views of
the city.

The Metropolitan Park of Santiago is considered as the geographically largest and most
peaceful urban park in Latin America. It is located in Recoleta, in the Metropolitan Region
of the city. It is an outstanding destination, full of history, quiet areas and beautiful
landscapes, free admission and it is an ideal space to go for a walk and practice some
exercises. In this magical place you can see a magnificent hill from where you can admire
an unforgettable panoramic view of the city.
4. Palacio de la Moneda

Palacio de la Moneda saves great part of the history of Chile. It has tiny windows and most times is
crowded due to tourists.

When you visit Chile, go to the Palacio de la Moneda, it is a huge building that serves as
the Presidential and Secretary of the Republic headquarter. It is located in the Metropolitan
Region of the city.
A space full of history and architecture with truly spectacular green areas for appreciation
of the tourists. Do not forget to bring your camera to take photos with the huge high
Chilean flag, a beautiful symbol of this campus.
5. Museum of Memory and Human Rights.

It is a wide and modern space that pays tribute to the victims whose rights were violated in the
dictatorship of the government of Augusto Pinochet.

In the museum you will be able to appreciate audiovisuals that are projected frequently and
that relate the ugly events that occurred in the country between 1973 and 1990, as well as
relevant events in Chilean history in that period. Do not forget to go through its fourth
floors where you will see a pretty photographic gallery that illustrates relevant historical
aspects.
