 It states the relevance of the study


and/or its contribution to the legal
community and other stakeholders who
may derive benefit from it.

Scope and Limitations

 It states the topic and boundaries of the


research problem.
 Scope – provides the details of the
study; how in-depth the study will
explore the research question and the
parameters in which it will be
conducted.
 Limitations – it relates to the validity
and reliability of the study. It states
what the researcher cannot do or the
variables outside of the control of the
researcher.
 Delimitations – refer to the boundaries
of the research. It states what factors or
variables the researcher has decided
not to include in the study.
