Greeting. To the honourable judges, teachers and all viewers. My name is Darsan .
And I am Hariaarasan. Today, we are going to perform a poetry recitation entitled ‘Do
You Remember?’ written by Miss Nurul Shuhada Binti Noh.

Do you remember?

Our first time

Meeting each other

It was early January

In the crowded people

I saw you.

Sitting at the corner

Playing with your Pikachu bottle

I walked towards you

Bit by bit

While looking around

Nervously

You saw me

And smile

Before I asked

You already pull the chair out

Asking me to sit

So thoughtful of you

For that

I am thankful .
 Do you remember?

Our first time

Eating lunch under the tree

I don’t have a lunchbox

I don’t know what it was

My food was packed in an old newspaper

Wrapped in yellow transparent plastic

Yours was purple

In the nice lunchbox beg

With colourful unicorn

I sat still

Looking at your food

It was chicken sandwiches

With 2 big red strawberries.

Slowly, I opened mine

It was 1 piece of roti canai

Bought in front of my house

Before I said anything

You shouted happily

Saying my dhal curry looked tempting.

 We were sharing foods.

You gave me half of your sandwiches

I gave you half of my roti canai

You gave me one of your strawberry too.

I never taste it before

Neither saw it

So thoughtful of you

For that,

I am thankful.

Our first time

Walking back home together

From evening tuition

You mother was late

And we decided to wait in my house

My small, wooden, old house

We played hopscotch in the rain

 Do you remember?

You felt down and hurt you knee

I was so scared

I thought it was our last time

Meeting each other

But your mother thanked me

For being your best friend.

Do you remember?

Our first time

Locking our pinkie promises

That we will be friends forever.
