ASSIGNMENT 1 : BUSINESS ACTIVITY (30%)

Course Learning Outcome – Apply practical skills in determining the business

opportunities using verbal and non-verbal communication (PLO10, A5).

Business Opportunity is the situation that enables an entrepreneur to offer marketable

products or services to interested buyers or end users. It is the job of the entrepreneur to
locate new ideas and to put them into action.

SCOPE
▪ This activity aims to expose students in identifying business opportunities.
▪ This activity aims to expose students to real business.
▪ Students are required to conduct a business activity either sell product/ offer
service.
▪ Business activity conducted can be online, offline or hybrid business.
▪ Duration for business activity: one day to one month

INSTRUCTIONS
▪ This is an individual assignment.
▪ The student needs to choose a business project (product (s)/ service (s)
▪ Plan the activities independently where student identify a products/ service to sell
at any time within the semester for a period of one day to 30 days only.
▪ Prepare a report using the guidelines provided.

Project Description
(20 marks) ⮚ Give a brief introduction and explain the background of your

● How? – how you sell to customer, tools use for
promotion, how you get the stock? Etc
⮚ State the source where you obtain financial assistance to
start the business activity
⮚ Prepare simple financial statement of the activity: cash
flow/income statement (refer to the example attached)
⮚ Any other relevant information can also be included
