TYPE OF DRILL/ TRAINING ELEMENTS INVOLVED

15:15 – 15:40 General alarm sounded. Announced trough Public System – ABANDON
SHIP DRILL. The crew with life jackets and immersion suites mustered at Muster Station -
head count conducted. Checked duty knowledge of all crew. Checked life jackets were
correctly donned. New crew members familiarized with LSA. All crew was instructed on how
to equip Immersion Suit and Life Jacket properly. Deck Cadet demonstrated how to dress
Immersion Suits and Life Jacket. All crew members boarded the life-boat & took their seats .
Procedure for launching life boat discussed . Info for the crew about Lifeboat on-board
equipment, including release system and steering gear. After that engine tested
(ahead/astern) and crew was shown how to start . Lifeboat was closed, crew proceeded to
the life rafts and rescue boat. Rescue boat engine tested . 3/Off explained procedure for
operating the survival craft cran. Drill completed.
