APPENDIX 4: FAILURE MESSAGES DETAILS / WARNINGS

As a general rule:

During cranking all the warning detection activities have to be stopped (SEE APPENDIX 4)
Each warning based on a can message shall be activated if the message is received for three times in a
row and only if the value contained into relevant message is valid (that means not FFFE or FFFF).
Each warning based on a direct input should be filtered as per the diagram below indicated unless
specified differently. The de-activation timer does not correspond to the visualization of a specific
warning. If there is an error code active relevant to a specific sensor, all the warnings related to that
sensor has to be deactivated.
For all those warnings which are activated upon the engine speed presence, whenever the Engine speed
value (either direct reading or CAN message) is not correct, the Engine oil pressure value has to be used
as a reference.
