WELCOME

QUICK START GUIDE This user guide can let users be familiar with this series quickly. Please go through this
user guide carefully before operating.

FOR DATA LOGGERS GETTING STARTED
All you need to prepare are a PC running under Window XP/ Vista/7/8 (32 bit or 64 bit)
with USB port and CD-ROM drive, the CD including Data Logger DGraph software and
Driver, the data logger itself and 2pcs 1.5V triple A battery.

1. SIM CARD INSTALLED ON DATA LOGGER


Need to prepare one 2G SIM card for Data Loggers with GSM SMS alarm function. This
2G SIIM card should have enough money to support the charge. Please insert the SIM
card according to the picture shows on this cover. With hearing the “click” you can insert
the SIM card well; press SIM card again it will pop up automatically and can take it out if
need to change. Data logger could be abnormal if SIM not being installed correctly.

2. BATTERY INSTALLATION
Take out battery from the package and open the back cover on the device; Notice the
cathode, install the battery properly and close cover, then device will be turned on
USB port automatically after power supply. Readings also displayed on the LCD.
Special reminding, for Data Logger with GSM SMS alarm function, battery is only
used to maintain the instrument internal clock as well as the system for a short

necessary settings. After inserting the external power supply, please pay attention
to the screen on the left if there is a sign G around 15 seconds. If there is no sign G,
there should be some problem with the network and have to check whether SIM
card and battery are installed correctly.

3. DRIVER AND SOFTWARE INSTALLATION


Inset the CD into your PC CD-ROM drive; double click the “USBXpressInstaller.exe” file
included on the CD ->Driver Directory to start installing. Users can see the “ Silicon
SMS Laboratories USBXpress Device Driver Installer” dialog first, click “Install” to follow
the prompts until it shows “Success”. Then click the “setup.exe” in the “Software” file

installation, then plug the data logger to PC USB port to get ready to setup.

6.On the “Start and Stop Method”, you can select how to start and stop logging by your actual
demands. Strongly suggest choose by “Press button” method to start and stop. In this case,
users can operate Data Logger by long pressing to start or stop repeatedly without connecting
to PC. Also all settings can be factory default if first attempts. Click on the “Finished” button
or escape with “Cancel”.
7.After finishing setting up, data logger will start according to your settings. Plug out the data
logger and put in the specific work environment. Notice if data logger needs external power
support or being logging status.

Settings” to show a dialog. User can set color, font, line size and unit for the graph.

8. FILE EXPORT
The software save and open the *.dlg or *.mdlg file type in default. User can click “File- Low battery
>Save As” to save the *.dlg or *.mdlg as other file types, including *.txt, *.csv, *.xls, *.bmp, indication
and *.jpg.

Data Logger is in Logging mode when there is LOG symbol on the right top of LCD display.
LCD displays the real-time readings and refresh every 16 seconds.
Users single press the MAX/MIN/START/STOP button can have the Maximum /minimum
readings that the data logger records. Notice: Suggest choose the Press Button to start
and stop method, in this case, user can long press this Button to start or stop with no need
connecting to PC to setup.
Users single press C/F/ON/OFF button can switch the temperature unit. Long press this
button can turn on/turn off the LCD display. Notice: If you want to start recording, you have
to connect Data Logger with PC to finish some necessary settings after installing battery.

NOTICES
•Make sure if Data Logger should be supported by external power. Accessory
•Knowing the waterproof level, measuring range, accuracy, work environment well
and put the Data Logger in correct situation properly.
•Some sensors will age and drift inevitably, and if necessary, you can consult your
supplier to get help on recalibration.
