1. Do you think the barter system would work in the 21st century? Why or why not?

Explain
your stand regarding this matter.

Yes, but in some other ways not in a way that between two people meeting in the same
place like before having their exchange of commodities, today our world is keep on
evolving like the use of high technologies that people easily connect each other from
different places, still there is a chance that some people exchange goods and services
through the use of virtual connection. But, because this 21st century is a modern
generation, people are more innovative to make our lives easier and convenient. That's
why, barter system would not really apply in urban areas because we already embrace
the money we use in buying and getting everything.

2. Suppose the current currency forms of bills and coins suddenly disappeared from
circulation, and you have to come up with an alternative form of money. What material or
item would you use and why? Explain your answer.

I think the alternative form of money I should replace would be the natural resources like
rice or crops because it is essential in our life. We can't live without our main source of
food. With these things we can survive to live without the use of money. We just need
money because it is in our economy today and the first thing we buy in our money is
food. We can also buy things through the use of our natural resources. Also, marble and
stone is applicable because it cannot be easily damaged or broken.
