RESEARCH ACTIVITY: Annotated Bibliography

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION: This activity enables the students to demonstrate knowledge

and skills in crafting a substantial collection of scholarly articles with corresponding

analyses, reflections and commentaries that point out significant potential of these articles

as valuable reference in the proposed investigation. Bibliography versus Annotated

Bibliography: A Review A bibliography is a listing of citations -- usually including the

author, title, publication information, etc. -- of the sources that you have used or plan to

use for your research topic (Ellison, 2010, p. 55). Bibliographies help the readers of your

research find out where you obtained your information. They are used by instructors and

others to assess the validity of your research findings as well as aid future researchers in

locating sources on similar research topics. Bibliographies are also sometimes referred

to as Works Cited pages or References. On the other hand, an annotated bibliography

goes one step further. An annotated bibliography provides a short paragraph of

description/criticism/evaluation of each of your sources. Likewise, annotated

bibliographies can help you remember specific information contained in your source and

often act as a springboard to further research because you are able to see what has

already been written about your topic (Ellison, 2010, p. 56).

GUIDELINES:

1. Form a group consist of FIVE (5) members following the chronological arrangement

of your LAST NAME via NEO LMS. Each member will choose the FIVE (5) scholarly

articles in chronological order. The purpose is to avoid reduplication of the task given

by the following groups: BOOKS AND E-BOOKS, JOURNALS, ONLINE

RESOURCES, THESIS AND DISSERTATION, and GENERAL REFERENCES.

2. Taken from trustworthy/reliable/noteworthy publications or search engines such as

ProQuest, Google Scholar, Emerald Insight, Mendeley that based outside of their field

of specialization. The aim is to enhance their capacity to research and explain details

outside their comfort zone and be comfortable using the universal language. See

below the given examples.

3. The output must be written in a matrix form. See the Annotated Bibliographies Template

attached and the SAMPLE for your reference.

4. The output must be submitted via GC on October 31, 2021, Sunday 15 minutes before

9pm. Please follow the format for submission: 1. AENLLE, ELOY P. ANOTATION. It

should be in MSWORD FORMAT.

5. Non-submission of the requirement means a grade of INCOMPLETE.

6. Should there be any urgent inquiries or concerns, students may contact the professor

at 09291855602, his FB account or via his email.
