My Study and Career Goals

Throughout high school I studied advanced chemistry and biology. It enhanced my ability to design
and conduct experiments, as well as to evaluate and interpret results. This knowledge and experience
will guarantee that I am well prepared to study the complex aspects of science at undergraduate
level. I have thoroughly enjoyed the laboratory work throughout my academic career and thus started
to think about a career in science. Bioinformatics was a first possible specialization which I wanted to
study at undergraduate level. This field uses computers to analyze biological data and by using those
bioinformatics can then solve problems of molecular biology and this is one of the things that I was
very passionate about.

However, when I started to understand what bioinformatics is, in part I found out what big data is and
how it collaborates well with business. The thought of how much opportunity we have when using
technology in business has always excited me. Having said that, in this age of innovation, technology
has become the center of every business strategy, and data can be used to store and analyze the
information in order to achieve the desired results.

I am a well-organized person and I carefully manage my time to accommodate my diverse interests,

especially sports and music classes. I am involved in several school events, from academic research
displays to volleyball competitions and music recitals. I learned to express my thoughts and
communicate with an audience; I learned to build patience and perseverance; and I learned to be me
while being part of a group. I am a dedicated musician, academic and member of society and I think I
would be able to contribute a lot to campus life.

Being a girl who tends to see the world as a complex puzzle with a huge amount of data, I never
hesitate to step out of my comfort zone to discover a world concept by analyzing the big data.
Acceptance into TIU will get me ready for a career in a digital(computerized) age in which
technological transformation continues to inspire change across all industries. TIU provides digital
discovery labs where theories can be applied to practice. By this I mean, at TIU I can analyze big data
to produce new services and products or build a start-up in diverse fields.

What is more, Digital Business and Innovation covers topics ranging from AI, database and analytics
to entrepreneurial strategies and statistics. I believe that the knowledge gained through these topics
will help me to succeed in business. Furthermore, at TIU I will improve my English and Japanese in a
way that I wouldn’t be able to do if I were to study in Kazakhstan. As one of the most important
languages in the world, Japanese will help me to form new connections with like-minded people, and
aid me in unleashing my potential.
I imagine TIU as a transmitter, which receives nonstop signals from young people to study there and
then gives the response signal, and produces graduates, with innovation and experience, to the
world. More knowledge, more flow of ideas, exchange of experiences and new technologies.
