I hereby apply for the graduate development program position at your organisation. Please find
enclosed my CV for your consideration.I am an outgoing person who can talk to people at all levels and
one of my most important assets is my ability to listen to people. I can take responsibility for my own
work and my own goals, but I also enjoy working with other people to reach a common goal.

I have recently completed my Bachelor’s degree in Sociology at the Great Zimbabwe University. I
believe the knowledge I have acquired through my academic study and work experience and the skills I
picked up make me an ideal candidate for this opportunity. Meeting deadlines has been a consistent
part of my academic and work experience and I have learnt how to communicate with people in
situations which require tact. My academic skills have also given me the ability to communicate
effectively on paper as well as through presentations.

I am interested in this development program as it appeals directly to my passion for working with people
and communities. I had an opportunity to work with different NGOs during my attachment which
provided me with important hands-on experience to work as a foundation to build my career in
Sociology.
