I Research Background and It's Problem

Stress Levels of the Students increased

with the advent of the Covid-19
Pandemic.
According to Mental Health Foundation
UK, stress is one's reaction to their
surroundings and certain factors such
as socioeconomic conditions, health
conditions, and others.
As the Education Platform of many
countries shifts from face-to-face to
online modality, the challenges it comes
with also translate into stress that
students will have to go through.

II Research Theoretical and Conceptual Framework

Theory of Stress and Coping by Lazarus and Folkman

This study's theoretical framework is anchored

on the Theory of Stress and Coping by Lazarus
and Folkman. This Theory encompasses the vast
factors and catalysts of stress on people and
how stress affects them and subsequently what
reactions and resolutions will they employ to
cope with the stress they encountered. This
theory best suites the main objective of this
study as this study will be determining main
factors of stress and its effects on the students.

III The Statement of the Problem and The Significance of the Study

Statement of the Problem

This study aims to determine the specific factors that affect the well-being and academic
performance of the students. Specifically, this study will answer the following questions:
1. What is the profile of the respondents in terms of:
1.1 Strand
1.2 Economic Status

2. What are the following stressors that arise during the online class system?
3. What are the following stressors according to the profile of the respondents on the students
in terms:
3.1 Behavioral
3.2 Emotional
3.3 Physical

4. Based on the result, what intervention program can be worked on to improve the learning
environment and learning quality for the students?

III The Statement of the Problem and The Significance of the Study

Significance of the Study

The Study will be benefiting the following:

Students

Parents

Teachers

Education Authorities

Future Researchers

IV Methodology and Statistical Treatment of Data

Research Method
A quantitative Research Design will be used in this study.
The descriptive research method will be used to achieve the
following:
1. To lay out what are the stressors affecting the students.
2. To lay out the effects of stress on the students based on
behavioral, emotional, and physical effects.

Sampling Method
This study utilized Slovin's Formula to determine the
number of its respondents. With a margin of error of 10%,
we have the respondents of 25 HUMMS, 22 STEM, 17 TVL,
and 10 ABM Grade 12 Students. In total of 74 respondents.

IV Methodology and Statistical Treatment of Data

Research Instrument
The Research Instrument used is a
Google Forms Survey.
It is composed of 3 sections.
Section 1 is the Socio-Economic
Section with 1 question.
Section 2 is the Common Stressor
Section with 1 question.
Section 3 is the Effects of Stress
Section with 3 questions.
In total of 5 question all in Multiple
Choice format.

IV Methodology and Statistical Treatment of Data

Statistical Treatment of Data

The Statistical Treatment used in this study

are the following:

1. Frequency- It is the number of

occurrences a data value occurs. It will
allow us to glance at the result easier and
more efficiently.
2. Percentage- It is computed as the quotient
of the frequency of the answers over the
number of the respondents then multiplied
by 100. It will also allow us to lay out the
results efficiently and simpler.
