BHMC as an institute of homoeopathic learning was the vision of Dr. Satinder Pal Singh Bakshi, a globally
renowned homoeopath and the doyen of Bakson Group. Dr. S.P.S. Bakshi is also the President of Central Council of
Homoeopathy and Homoeopathic Medical Association of India. The premier college BHMC was established by Dr.
Bakshi in the year 2002 and is governed by the “Dr. Kripal Singh Bakshi Memorial Trust”.

 Classrooms, auditorium, seminar hall & conference hall: The College has fully furnished and spacious
classrooms, lecture theatres, an auditorium, seminar hall and conference hall fitted with all available electronic
audio-visual aids.
 Distinguished and experienced faculty: The College has a strong and well-qualified core faculty with a rich
resource base and expertise.
 Library: A rich library that has a collection of latest medical books and journals both by Indian and foreign
authors which adds to the knowledge of students.
 Laboratories: The College has all the warranted laboratories with State-of-the-art facilities. These enable
students to conduct experiments and know about the unknown, besides confirming theoretical aspects.
 Cafeteria: College canteen serves a variety of snacks, lunch and dinner, cooked in a modern, hygienic and well-

Department of Anatomy:

The department has a very spacious & well equipped laboratory with various specimens of different organs & models
besides charts, bones and skeletons for perfect understanding of the subject of Anatomy.

Department of Physiology:

The department is equipped with a well developed, spacious laboratory having the capacity to conduct regular
practicals, tutorials & demonstrations.

 The laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art equipments.


 Electronic Audio Visual aids are used by the faculty members to teach the functions, processes &
interrelationship of the different systems of the body and to equip the student with clinical reference in
diagnosing as well as treating.

Department of Materia-Medica:

 Has a rich departmental library.


 Beautiful hard bound photographs of the various medicinal substances of vegetable, mineral & animal kingdom
remedies are available.

 There are preserved specimens of various plants & of almost 150 drugs in crude form, displayed in attractive
containers that make the department look lively & also helps the student to view and recognize the different
medicinal substances thoroughly.

 Various seminars and presentations are conducted from time to time either on OHP or on the LCD projector thus
helping the students in learning and developing command over the subject.

Department of Pharmacy:

 Aims at teaching the students the rational use of Homoeopathy through medicinal preparations as per the
standard procedures.
 A state-of-the-art laboratory with sophisticated instruments and chemicals to perform experiments. 

 Various charts depicting information about drug sources used as teaching aids.

 A medicinal garden is also maintained within the college premises of different plant species with medicinal
value. 

 Macroscopic and microscopic study of plant specimens is carried out for facilitating learning. Besides this various
specimens are also used for preparing herbariums.

Department of Surgery:

 The department is well equipped with a departmental library.


 Different informative charts are available for imparting education as per curriculum.

 In addition to the theory classes held regularly in the college, clinical classes are also conducted at Noida District
Hospital, where students witness demonstration of cases in wards and even in the operation theatre.

Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology:

 The department is fully equipped with descriptive charts to help students gain information about various topics
concerning the subject. 
 Students are taught about both normal and abnormal pregnancies through models along with the demonstration
of various instruments used in different gynaecological procedures.

 Clinical classes for UG students are held in Noida Civil Hospital under the supervision of staff teacher  and
Gynaecologist. 

 Practical training includes antenatal and postnatal care along with the care of new born.  Students practically
witness labor cases, MTPs, sterilization operations like ligation, insertion of Cu-T and even Laproscopic
procedures.  The concerned teaching staff also demonstrates various instruments used during the procedures in
detail.

Department of Organon:

 The department has developed wonderful charts and qualitative library for easy understanding of the subject by
the students.
 Various power point presentations are presented from time to time on eminent persons in the field of
Homoeopathy such as Dr. Hahnemann’s life history, History of Medicine and Philosophy of Stuart Clause etc to
increase the interest as well as knowledge bank of students.

Department of Repertory: 

 The emphasis is laid on proper case-taking that serves as a bridge between doctor & patient. 
 Use of different repertories & repertorising a case trains the budding doctors in the method of arriving at a
similimum or the constitutional homoeopathic remedy for a patient. 

 Teaching is supported through laminated charts detailing each topic.

Department of Preventive & Social Medicine:

“Prevention is better than cure is the main theme behind P.S.M”

 The subject is made more practical & creative through educational tours (Milk dairy, National Institute of
Communicable diseases, Water treatment plant in Delhi, etc), Health education of the community besides
organizing camps & school health checkups from time to time.

 Free medical camps are also arranged often in Alpha, Beta, Gamma sectors, Tugalpur and Kasna villages of
Greater Noida so as to help the students gain practical training simultaneously along with the theoretical
knowledge.

Department of Pathology:

This department is also sufficiently equipped to conduct practical classes as well as for clinical diagnostic aids for OPD
& IPD patients. 

Department of Medicine:

The department is well equipped with reference books and informational charts to impart proper education.

Department of Psychiatry:

The Psychiatry department is also developed as per curriculum to aid the students in the learning process.

Department of Paediatrics:

This department is also well equipped as per norms and caters to the educational needs of the students.

Department of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology:

The department is well equipped with all the demonstrative materials like -

 Weapons which are very beautifully displayed.


 Organic and Inorganic poison specimens.

 Poisonous plants preserved in attractive containers for demonstration.

 Charts, diagrams, models etc of medico – legal interest. 

Special efforts are made to help the students concentrate on the finer aspects of Forensic medicine & Toxicology in
accordance with the post mortem findings & interpretation of the related laboratory findings in the different cases.

Students are also allowed to witness medico-legal post-mortems conducted by the Professor of Forensic Medicine. 

The students are even taught about the legal procedures in courts & their jurisdiction, Medical ethics etc.
COURSES OFFERED
The college offers five and a half years degree course of B.H.M.S. at undergraduate level besides Post Graduate
Course, M.D. (Hom.) in various disciplines namely Organon of Medicine and Homoeopathic Philosophy,
Homoeopathic Materia Medica, Repertory, Homoeopathic Pharmacy, Practice of Medicine, Paediatrics and Psychiatry.
The degree is awarded by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Agra after successful completion of the course
and passing of examinations conducted by the university.
HOSPITAL
Professional education in homoeopathy is a preparation for practice. Thus clinical experience forms an integral part of
such an education and Bakson college offers it at its inbuilt hospital which has all the required departments &
efficiently functioning O.P.Ds., I.P.Ds. and peripheral O.P.Ds.

Bakson Homoeopathic Medical College has various OPDs and Specialty Clinics which are run by many expert doctors
to expose the interns to various ailments, their treatment and management which grooms them into professionals
besides providing treatment and care to almost 150 patients / day.
Various Specialty Clinics running successfully at the hospital are:
 Skin clinic
 Chest clinic
 Arthritis clinic
 Pain clinic
 Space occupying lesions’ clinic
 E.N.T. clinic
 Pediatrics clinic
Other specializing features of the Hospital are:
KNEE AND SPINE CLUB
In the hospital premises, Knee and Spine club were started to serve patients suffering from musculo-skeletal
problems. The members of the club get a comprehensive management for their problem through a unique
combination of Yoga, Physiotherapy, massage and Homoeopathy. At present, 3 batches, each with 10 patients are
running at our hospital under the supervision of a physiotherapist and Yoga Instructor. A team of 4 Homoeopathic
Doctors take special care about Homeopathic management of these patients.
PHYSIOTHERAPY AND YOGA
In this department qualified and experienced Physiotherapist and Yoga instructor treat patients with the help of
modern high tech physiotherapy equipments and accupressure to ease out their musculoskeletal problem.
MASSAGE
Hospital has recently established a massage centre where body massage is given by a trained masseur as per the
advice of concerned specialist. Specific massage oils are used along with homoeopathic medicines for the same
purpose.

IN PATIENT DEPARTMENT
Along with the full fledged OPDs, the hospital has a successfully running IPD where patients are also provided the
facility of other adjunct therapies along with the homoeopathic medications such as sessions of physiotherapy, yoga,
acupuncture and massage to help their early & better recovery. A well trained nursing staff is deputed for regular
monitoring of patient’s health. Patients in the IPD provide ample opportunities for interns to learn the true essence of
homoeopathic case taking, examination and management.
A pathological diagnostic centre is also being run where all routine investigations are done at a very reasonable cost.
PERIPHERAL OPDs
The institution has been running successfully ten peripheral OPDs. in the rural areas of Greater Noida catering to the
medical needs of villagers. The institution is providing absolutely free treatment at these clinics. A team of regular
full time Medical Officers, Post Graduate students, Interns & Pharmacists are been deputed at each of these OPDs.
Students are encouraged to participate in health awareness camps in different villages from time to time.

RECRUITMENT & SELECTION PROCEDURE:


Recruitment is an important part of an organization’s human resource planning and their competitive strength.
Competent human resources at the right positions in the organisation are a vital resource and can be a core
competency or a strategic advantage for it. The objective of the recruitment process is to obtain the number and
quality of employees that can be selected in order to help the organisation to achieve its goals and objectives.

In college we have two categories of employees:


1. Teaching Faculties (Full Time & Part Time) and Medical Officers
2. General Administrative staff
1. Group A- Teaching Faculties and Medical Officers
a) Teaching Faculty- Full Time:
It consists of the following hirerarchy:

Evaluation of establishment: This is done by the Principal before the commencement of new academic
section. (as per the minimum standard of education of CCH).
Mode of Recruitment:
A Direct Recruitment

Uttar Pradesh.

PROMOTION POLICY

OBJECTIVE:

The objective of the promotion policy is to ensure that high performance levels are recognized and
rewarded.

OPERATING PROCESS:

A promotion is a career opportunity for an employee that involves greater responsibilities, and may also
involve an increase in salary, and a change in title. Promotions are intended to be non-interim. Promotions
may occur only within the employee's unit; an employee may be promoted to a position outside his or her
unit provided the employee has required skills or education prerequisite for the post.

Any faculty member seeking for promotion should meet the prerequisite related to
qualification and promotion criteria set by University which is further to be approved by the
Selection committee (Annexure No. II)

All the shortlisted candidate profile’s with their necessary documents will be sent to the university for
the final approval of the VC (as per the Handbook of Agra University)
Workload for Faculty Members:
 Fulltime: 7hrs(as per CCH Norms)
 Part Time: Minimum 3hrs/day ( At least 5 days per week)
 Guest Faculty: Minimum 2hrs/day/week.

C) Medical Officers:
A) Hospital Superintendent: Degree in Homoeopathy.
Experience: At least 15 yrs including 5yrs Administrative Experience.
Desirable: P.G. in Homoeopathy.
B) Medical Officer: Degree in Homoeopathy.
Experience as 1 year of House Physician.
C) House Physician- Degree in Homoeopathy.

This is as per the requirement of the Hospital and regular review by Hospital Superintendent.

1) Principal :
1. Academic and administrative management of the institution.
2. Policy planning, monitoring and evaluation and promotional activities both at departmental and
institutional level.

3. Helping mobilisation of resources for the institution.


4. Plan and implement staff development activities.
5. Conduct performance appraisal.
6. Issuing guidelines to Head of Departments, Deans and all other staff members for successful
fulfillment of objectives of the college.

2) Professor/Reader:
1. Preparation of academic calendar well in advance before the starting of the semester
and ensure meaningful implementation of the calendar throughout the semester.
2. Allocation of subjects, appointment of lab incharges, faculty appointment of lab incharges, faculty advisors
for labs / classes and monitoring of their work progress.
3. Timely distribution of time-table before starting of the semester.
4. Monitoring the laboratory development, modernization, extension of facilities throughout the semester.
5. Monitoring of the lectures and practicals being carried in each semester.
6. To monitor the proper co-ordination of GDs/OHPs/ Final Year projects etc.
7. To keep liaison with parents regarding attendance of students, code of conduct, etc.
8. To ensure the proper development of staff members for which the following steps should be carried out.
a) Conduction of the departmental meetings regularly and maintaining minutes of meetings.
b) Promotion of enthusiasm / participation of all staff members by involving everyone in decision
making and implementation of activities.
c) Ensuring that all notices / communications from Principal’s side are displayed for easy
information of staff members.
d) Ensuring equal distribution of workload and giving equal opportunities to all faculty members to
attend training, workshops, conferences etc.
e) To review the self appraisal forms of the faculty members and then provide them opportunities
like training, workshops, conferences etc
9. To get the defaulter’s attendance list prepared by the concerned staff in-charge and getting it updated
from time to time.
10. Recommending the recruitment of the staff members/ non-teaching staff as per the requirement to the
principal.
11. Preparation of budget for equipment, maintenance of equipment and other expenditures and seeking
approval through the purchase committee procedures.
12. Conducting conferences, workshops and seminars in the college.
13. Looking after the departmental administration and discipline.
14. The Head of Department will be responsible for smooth conduction of departmental activities in the
college.

3) Faculty:
1. Engage lectures / practicals according to the norms of CCH, B.R. Ambedkar/GGSIPU and requirement
of the college.
2. The faculty shall actively involve in the curriculum development, laboratory development and
developing learning resource materials.
3. The faculty is also assigned the work of ‘students assessment & evaluation including examination
work of university’
4. Faculty should also participate in the co-curricular & extra curricular activities.
5. Faculty shall provide Guidance & counseling to the students & help developing their personal,
external, moral & overall character.
6. Faculty shall carry research & development activities & provide research guidance to the students.
7. The faculty members will execute all the functions, activities according to the policy guidelines issued
in such a way so as to ensure excellent academic environment in the college.
8. The faculty member shall grow with the institute as a “Resource Person” in the field of his own
interest for ultimate improvement in his usefulness to society.
9. Every faculty members, irrespective of his designation shall be free to contribute his ideas:

7. Keeping in touch with alumni to improve their participation in overall upbringing of the college.
5. Librarian
1) To provide environment & facilitate study in library
2) To procure the recommended books, National / International journals, reference data books,
newspaper, magazine etc.
3) To purchase books and subscribed journals/ magazines/Newspapers etc as required by students,
staff
4) To classify & catalog the purchase books etc for easy identification
5) To keep the record of books issued/received
6) To take care of integrity of books & other literature in library
7) To maintain discipline in library
8) To maintain the computerized system of library in tact and functional.
6. Estate Manager
1) He will perform all activities as required for taking care of physical facilities as per instructions of
the Regional Director / Principal of the College.
2) He is responsible for providing the comfortable & hygienic environment for the smooth working of
the organization.
3) He is responsible for providing the authorized company dealer AMC for Lift, Water Purifier, Fire-
fighting garden, Generator Set, Air conditioning systems and all other services.
4) To maintain the resources in the Auditorium and timely allotment of the facility to the departments.
5) To ensure safety & security of the campus.
6) To provide the transport & communication facility (EPABX)
7) He is responsible for maintaining the building and furniture of the college.
8) Dead stock verification of all furniture items, every year.
9) To extend the guest house facility.
7. Office Superintendent:
1) To establish & maintain a system which ensures smooth administration.
2) To maintain office files, all documentation records, etc. according to directives of the ED.
3) To help Principal in maintaining official correspondence with the competent authorities.
4) To supervise the administration of non-teaching staff members – their arrival, office timings, duty
allotment, etc.
5) To provide infrastructural and secretarial support to Principal and Head of Departments as and when
required, promptly.
6) To have effective communication with staff & students.
8. Accounts Officer / Accountant
The accountant is responsible for the following duties:
1) To maintain the cash book.
2) Daily fees register.
3) Ledger etc. as per the existing procedures of Bharati Vidyapeeth’s.
4) To maintain the Salary Register / Pay Sheet of the employees on monthly basis.
5) File the Income Tax Return and ‘PF’ return of the employees yearly.
6) An accountant would be a member of ‘Purchase committee’.
7) ‘Bank reconciliation on monthly basis’
8) Maintaining the ‘trail balance’ sheet on monthly basis.

9. Hostel Warden
1) To provide hygienic & homely environment to the hostelers.

2) To ensure safety & security.


3) Regularly monitoring the quality of food given to them in canteen.
4) To provide them bed, cupboard, water cooler to every hostler & a geyser in every floor.
5) To take feedback from hostlers & take necessary actions.
6) To provide them medical facility whenever required.
7) To encourage taking up certain co-curricular / extra curricular activities for enriched hostel life for the
students staying in hostel.
10. Laboratory Assistants
1) The Lab assistants would ensure that the lab is ready with all the equipments in working condition before
the commencement of the session. In case of difficulty, he should contact the staff incharge / HOD
immediately.
2) He/She would maintain the Lab-manuals (updated) in neat form.
He/She would ensure the following:
(i) Attendance sheets are made ready in prescribed form. Attendance in Laboratories be maintained
promptly.
(ii) Time Table of the Laboratory and the list of experiments is displayed on the lab notice board.
(iii) He/She should be able to perform all the experiments listed in the ‘list of experiments’ and he will help
the teachers in the lab operation fully.
(iv) He/She is responsible for the charge of equipment in the lab. If any equipment is missing / faulty, it
should be immediately informed to the lab incharge and the same should be communicated to the HOD
in writing.
3) He / She would help the lab – incharge in following purchase procedures:
4) Full time attendance in the laboratories is essential.
5) He / She would help to the lab incharge and HOD promptly in any administrative job as and when required.
6) The data entry operations for laboratory and departmental administration (e.g., preparation of detention
list) will be taken up by the Lab Assistants.
7) He / she has to attend training programmes organized by the college and shall be evaluated for the desired
skills by conducting periodic evaluations.
11. Receptionist
1) Maintain the daily schedule of the Principal during the office hours.
2) Cordially, answer to the general queries of the parents, visitors.
3) Monitor the Receipt / Dispatch of postage, courier etc.
4) Transfer the incoming and outgoing calls to the respective person.
5) Maintain Activity Register and update the information brochure of the college from time to time.
6) Maintain certain important files for Principal, e.g., approval file / detention list file, etc.

12. Data Operator


1) The data operator would type and update all the records assigned to him / her by the Principal and
administrative staff time to time.
2) He / She would give typing support to the faculty members as and when required.
13. Peons
1) To maintain the cleanliness of the department. Opening and closing the departments by proper
lock / key arrangements.
2) To look after the water arrangement.
3) To switch off the lights / fans in class rooms / lab / staff room when not in operation.
4) To provide all the assistance to the Lab Assistants, the faculty members and the HOD’s as and
when need.
14. Clerks and Office Staff
1). To perform duties allotted by the Principal / HOD.

LEAVE RULES:
The leave eligibility to the staff (Teaching Staff including MO’s OPD and Non teaching Staff)
of the college is enumerated below:

 Medical Leave:
a) Medical leave will be granted for medical cases only.
b) Employees are entitled with pay for 10 days Medical leaves in a Calendar year.
c) Medical prescription will be required for availing medical leaves.

 Casual Leave:
a) Casual leave will be granted for emergent, unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances.
b) Employees are entitled to one casual leave with pay after every month of continuous employment. Hence
there are 12 casual leaves in a calendar year.
c) Casual leave cannot be accumulated beyond the leave year.
d) Prior approval of casual leave is desirable. If however, due to unforeseen circumstances, prior approval
can not be obtained, the absence must be regularized on the resuming day.
e) Half day casual leave can be taken for absence up to four hours duration in pre-lunch / post lunch period.

 Earned Leave:
a) All confirmed employees are entitled to 10 days of paid earned leave in a year. The period of probation
would be taken into account while computing the leave entitlement.
b) Earned leaves can be accumulated upto a maximum of 20 days.
c) For availing earned leave, application must be submitted at least 07(seven) days in advance to the Head of
department and then after his approval to Administration department.

 Seminar /Educational /Examination duty Leave :


a) All teaching faculty are entitled to 10 days for Seminar /Examination Duty/Educational leave in a year. The
approval of the same should be taken from the appropriate sanctioning authority.
 Maternity Leave :
The leave will be available to the female employees during:
1. Pregnancy
2. Miscarriage and abortion (included induced abortion) but not threatened abortion.
Period of Leave:
a) For pregnancy : 72 days
b) For miscarriage and abortion : 30 days

Conditions:
a. In case of maternity leave for pregnancy as well as for miscarriage an employee should have less than two
surviving children.
b. In case of maternity leave for miscarriage and abortion, the medical certificate should be produced.
c. Maternity leave can be combined with earned leave with prior permission of the competent authority.
 Supplementary Leaves
1. All teaching faculty will be entitled for following supplementary leaves:
Summer Vacation : 30 days
Winter Vacation : 07 days
Dussera : 03 days
During the summer vacation Non teaching staff namely librarian, Library assistant, Lab incharge/assistant and staff of
administrative unit are allowed for 10 days of vacation. However this is not applicable for the essential services staff
namely Electrician, Gardner, Driver, Plumber etc.
(Any change in the above list is under the sole discretion of management.)

 General :
a) Leave can not be claimed as matter of right. It shall be granted at the convenience of the
management. The management has a right to refuse, revoke, postpone or curtail leave as its
sole discretion.
b) Holidays/Weekly off days following / proceeding the period of leave will not be taken in to account for the
purpose of calculating leave availed. However, all holidays/Weekly off days falling during the leave period
will be counted as leave.

c) One kind of leave can not be combined with another kind of leave.
d) Leave without pay is granted at the discretion of the Management in exceptional circumstances when all
admissible leaves are exhausted.
e) Absence from duty:
If the absence of employee is not covered by any kind of leave or if the employee proceeds on leave with
approval or fails to report for duty either on expiry of leave or otherwise, the employee will be deemed to
be absent without leave. If such absence exceeds 8 consecutive days, the management may, at the sole
discretion treat that the employee has abandoned the employment and strike off his name from the rolls of
the company.
f) Compensatory off should be utilized with in the span of 30 days.
Advance Policy
All employees are entitled for advance. Advance will be given for the following purposes:
 Marriage
 Medical emergency
 Special expenses concerning children’s education and admission

The total amount of advance shall be subject to the overall advance budget for the year.
Advance can be given after completion of Three year service in the organization. Maximum limit of advance will be
equal to 15 days of basic salary on every completed year of service in the organization and deduction of 12/EMI from
his salary.

PROCEDURE
The advance shall be recommended by HOD, routed through HRD for eligibility and sanctioned by JMD.
 Rate of interest @ 4% p.a. will be charged of Advance up to Rs. 5,000/-.
 Rate of interest @ 8% p.a. will be charged of Advance over Rs. 5,000/-.

ANNEXURE VI
INTERNSHIP TRAINING
1. Each candidate shall be required to undergo compulsory rotating internship of one year, after
passing the final BHMS Examinations, to the satisfaction of the Principal of the Homoeopathic
College. Thereafter only, the candidate shall be eligible for the award of Degree of Bachelor of
Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (B.H.M.S.) by the University.

a. All parts of the internship training shall be undertaken at the hospital attached to the
College, and, in cases where such hospital cannot accommodate all of its students for
internship then such candidates/students shall be informed in writing by the college and
it shall be the responsibility of the College to ensure that each of such students is put on
internship training in a Homoeopathic Hospital or dispensary run by Government or local
bodies.
b. To enable the State Board/Council of Homoeopathy to grant provisional registration of
minimum of one year to each candidate to undertake the internship, the University
concerned shall issue a provisional passed certificate on passing the final BHMS
examination to each successful candidate. Provided that in the event of shortage or
unsatisfactory work, the period of compulsory internship and the provisional registration
shall be accordingly extended by the State Board/Council.
c. Full registration shall only be given by the State Boards if the BHMS degree awarded by
the University concerned is a recognized medical qualification as per Section 13 (1) of the
Act, and Board shall award registration to such candidates who produce certificate of
completion or compulsory rotating internship of not less than one year duration from the
Principal of College where one has been a bonafide student which shall also declare that
the candidate is eligible for it.
d. The internee students shall not prescribe the treatment including medicines, and, each of
them shall work under the direct supervision of Head of Department concerned and/or a
Resident Medical Officer. No intern student shall issue any medicolegal document under
his/her signatures.
e. Each candidate shall complete the internship training at the maximum within a period of
24 months after passing the final year examination.
2. The internship training shall be regulated by the Principal in consultation with concerned Heads
of Departments and R.M.O. as under- 
a. Each internee student shall be asked to maintain a record of work which is to be
constantly monitored by the Head of concerned Department and/or Resident Medical
Officer under whom the internee is posted. The scrutiny of record shall be done in an
objective way to update the Knowledge, skill and aptitude of internee.
b. The stress during the internship training shall be on case taking, evaluation of
symptoms, nosological and miasmatic diagnostic analysis, repertorisation and
management of sick people based on principles of Homoeopathy. Weekly seminars shall
be conducted wherein interns in rotation be given a chance to present their cases for
discussion, and, concerned teachers/R.M.O. shall assess performance of each of interns.
c. Rotation of intern-students shall be as under:
i. Practice of Medicine - 8 Months wherein internee will be rotated in each
Psychology, Respiratory, Gastro-intestinal. Endocrinology, Skin and V.D., Loco-
motor, Cardiology, Paediatrics sections.
ii. Surgery-1 Month.
iii. Obstetrics & Gynaecology - 2 months (1 month each (including Reproductive &
child health care))
iv. Community medicine (including PHC/CHC) - 1 month.
d. Each internee shall be exposed to clinicopathology work to acquire skill in taking samples
and doing routine blood - examination, blood smear for parasites, sputum examination,
urine and stool examination. Students shall be trained to correlate laboratory findings
with diagnosis and management of sick people.
e. Each internee shall be given opportunities to learn the diagnostic techniques like x-rays,
Ultrasonography, E.C.G., Spirometer and other forthcoming techniques and co-relate
their findings with diagnosis and management of cases.
f. Each internee student shall be given adequate knowledge about issuing of medico-legal
certificates including medical and fitness certificates, death certificates, birth certificates,
court producers and all of such legislation's be discussed which were taught in
curriculum of Forensic Medicine.
g. Each internee shall maintain records of 40 acute and 25 chronic cases complete in all
manner including follow up in Practice of Medicine, record of 5 antenatal check-up and 3
delivery cases attended by him/her in Department of Obstetrics and 3 cases of
Gynaecology; records of 5 surgical cases assisted by him (and demonstrational knowledge

of dressings) in Surgery department, and records of knowledge gained in Primary Health


Centres, Community health Centres, various health programmes.
h. It shall be compulsory for each Intern-Student to prove at least one drug during the
Period of internship.
i. Each internee shall be given a liberty to choose an elective assignment on any subject,
and complete out-put shall be furnished in writing by the internee in respect of elective
assignment to the principal of the College within internship duration.
j. Each intern shall be posted on duty in such a manner that each of them attend at least
15 days in O.P.D. and 15 days in I.P.D. at least in each month (except for duty in
Community Medicine) and attend the other parts of duty including self-preparation in
Library.
k. Each intern-student shall be made to learn importance of maintaining statistics and
records. Intern-student shall also be familiarized with research-methodology.
3. a. Each internee shall have not less than 80% of attendance during the internship training.
b. Each internee shall be on duty of at least 6 hrs. per day during the compulsory
internship training.
