M By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to read the text and complete Greg’s notes with the correct details.

C By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to listen to the text and answer at least three questions correctly.
1. Have pupils open their books to pages 60-61.
Pre-lesson 2. Direct pupils’ attention to the vocabulary section at the top of the pages.
3. Play CD track 5 and have pupils point and repeat.
4. Activity 1:
a. Have pupils look at the presentation and ask them where the children are and what they are doing.
b. Ask pupils to predict what the children are talking about.
c. Have pupils point to the bubbles and follow along as you play CD track 6.
d. Play the CD again and encourage pupils to shadow read.
e. Pupils listen to the CD for the second time and answer the questions. (Assessment)
f. Discuss the answers with the pupils.
Lesson delivery 5. Activity 2:
a. Distribute worksheet.
b. Pupils read the text again and complete Greg’s notes. (Assessment)
c. Have pupils check their answers in pairs first, then check answers as a class.
6. Activity 3 (Optional Activity):
d. In pairs, pupils talk about the school trip using Greg’s notes as a guide for what to say.
e. Model the language if necessary.
f. Invite a few pupils to do the speaking activity in front of the whole class.
7. Make true/false sentences about the school trip.
