LOUNDS, sscoKDINo SECRETARY June 29, 2022 Greetings Brothers and Sisters, | wanted to reach out to you all and provide some insight into the restrictions that some of your brothers and sisters will have if we take action on the previously mentioned strike this coming Thursday, June 30", at 10:00 a.m. Any active member of the UAW/GM National Agreement is bound by Paragraph 117, which completely restricts their abilty to actively participate during a work stoppage of any of the company's operations that are not their own. The International GM Department and UAW legal made clear this is both on and off the clock. This said, we have a large active (non-GM) and retired UAW family here in Lansing, Ml and we will feel their support if the need arises. As more information surfaces, | will continue to send updates to keep you all as informed as possible. To provide more depth on the circumstance we find ourselves in, | felt it necessary to explain that we have multiple options as we progress to Vice President Dittes’ deadline for a tentative agreement. The first and best option would be the desired tentative agreement, second, we could make enough progress to extend the deadline and lastly, we could execute the strike as Vice President Dittes announced if the negotiations don’t net the results necessary. In closing, | also wanted to ensure we care for what is ours. These jobs are ours; we take pride in them and are currently fighting for what you have earned in doing them. So, if we must take action on Thursday, let me remind you that we must protect what is ours. We don't take any hostile action against ur plant. We must remember to leave our workstations as if we were leaving for the weekend, Plug in ‘our mobile equipment just as we would at the end of any shift and leave our worksite ready to run for when we attain what we have earned. In Solidarity, BB Ben Frantz, President UAW Local 652 JARMEGOPEIUAZAFLCIO
