Department
Vision
– As a service unit mandated by the University to teach
the Christian faith anchored on the gospel of Jesus
Christ, the department envisions to also become a
center for religious and peace studies in the
Philippines.

CHS 1:
Reading and Interpreting the Hebrew Scripture
Course Description
– Reading and interpreting the Hebrew Scripture is an
introductory study to the sacred text of the Hebrew
people (Old Testament).
– The primary emphasis of this course is on the
significance of few select stories and books of the
Hebrew scripture to contemporary questions about faith
and societal issues.
