The Phrasal Verb Office

Attitudes and Feelings


Phrasal Verbs

Verb + Preposition and/or Adverb. A phrase that often has a


meaning that is not implied by the words themselves.

Phrasal Verbs often have several uses or meanings.

Ex. Get around – to avoid a problem; to become known; to travel


to different places.

1. Separable – A Pronoun or Noun can be used between the


words

2. Inseparable – The two words are always used together!
